There are alot of subconscious Charger fans in SoCal still pissed about the move. if Chargers contend, time passes and some will come back. I’ve seen a handful of hardcore haters shift this year due to Herbert and Staley. The key to building a base in LA is win a lot. Nothing else will work

But Browns and Raiders are not remotely the same attraction in LA. Browns have hundreds of fans in LA - Raiders have a million+. Raiders are the most popular team in LA, still. They are loyal to raider nation.

Browns have a history of not doing well on the West Coast.

That said, we must bring our "A Game."

The Browns strengths can be our kryptonite.

I am delighted to see this board turn around from nervous fretting about some imaginary CLE Monster to recognizing their own beloved team is clearly superior and will win.. Welcome back, gents. Enjoy your day …

To go along with your post, I definitely think that Staley shares the philosophy of just take it one a game at a time. I do think we are the superior team but this is the NFL; anything can happen. Browns are the best they have been in years and if we take them lightly then we will lose. Simple. Looking forward to this one.

Maybe the Browns are riding high on the vapors of their 2 game win streak over the mighty Bears and Vikings. I haven’t seen a Viking game, so i go only by written descriptions that they suck. But I watched one Bears game and that team is a shit-show of confusion and incompetence. CHI are deal last in total offense. If they don’t substantially step up in weight class, they will not rise to meet the Bolts.

The Browns have the best running game in the NFL. They also may have the best defense. That used to be a lethal combination in the NFL, but not in the NFL today. For better or worse, the NFL is all about the passing game today, and by extension the quarterback. The Chargers have the better QB, and by extension the better passing game. The Chargers are better coached. And the Chargers have relatively few injuries, while the Browns are a MASH unit, even their QB is injured. That is why I like the Chargers in this game. I'm going with 29-18 Chargers.

The Browns are 1-9 in their last ten west coast games
Granted, thats when they were more the Broans than this iteration of the team. So not sure the history is relevant as those were just bad teams who lost everywhere

The Browns can run the ball and play good defense - those are two things that can keep a team in the game

This will be an interesting game - but looking forward to it. Hopefully the offense can keep scoring the ball like the last two weeks

the history is irrelevant. This is not the same team.

they present problems for us and I’m looking forward to seeing how Staley solves them.

Run game and defense is still a winning combo if you can do both well enough. They’re 3-1 and went to the playoffs last season.

The Browns' identity seems to be to run counter to the modern NFL and be a run-heavy, top-defense team of the old school variety. It seems that is what Stefanski is building there and has been successful at it. We will see if it works in the modern league. If there's one team I would root for other than the Chargers it is the Browns.

They have a QB that has become very inaccurate since his shoulder injury.
                        One dimensional teams rarely win.

Kareem Hunt has damaged us before.

I know our resident experts claim history doesn't matter,

                          but this is the Chargers.

I will be literally chewing my fingernails down to the nubs between now and kickoff.
