I have no problem drafting a running back in the second round this year. Especially if we do what we need to do in free agency. But regardless, id love to have Breece Hall.

I don't recall us getting a lot of negative yards like in years past. I do recall getting positive yards. Problem is many were of the 2-yard variety. We need a guy to come in get 2.5 yards accidently falling backwards on purpose.

Sounds like you are saying we need a franchise RB. I'm on board with that because if we had an LT or Natrone Means sort of RB Herbert would be an even better QB.

I wouldn't say better...but a good RB would allow Herbert to be:

- Cleaner with less hits
- Taking less hits breeds bolder confidence to attack
- Getting an advantage on QB blitzing defenses
- Getting an additional tool on 4th and short
- Faking defenses on play actions
- Opening up Herbert's escape running lanes

and that can be a good or bad thing.

We might just be better off with a consistent back that gets positive yards and wears down a defense.
