As far as I am concerned,
    this is the central problem.

The running game, or lack thereof,
    trickles down everywhere.

Props for pounding the TV tray on this.
We do not play modern football.

What is especially pissing me off right now is Kelley and Rountree. We have a screaming need for RB#2. Herb and Oline are who I have in mind.

Lack of offensive balance is exactly why savvy defensive minded coaches shut us down, NOT Lombardi's play calling.

Sorry for meandering off topic, but K9 is yet another draft/player development fail.
      Agree on all points.
I think K9 can be salvaged at edge
I think Lombo's playcalling isn't THE problem, just handcuffed at the moment

Edit: re Lambo, it's hard to articulate what I'm seeing, but he's not off the hook completely. I think he's developing as a play caller too, which is a sad sentence to type. It's year one for everyone all together I suppose
      Chargers vs. Everyone

Let’s just call him Kenneth. K9 implies, he’s a dawg. Until he is able to impact the game as advertised, he will be known as Kenneth until then.

Im just piling on. Injuries to stud athletes are hard to deal with, apparently.

And we traded how much to move up for his (Murray's) pick? That's the part that really stings for me. It is what it is.

              From early October.

We miss Feiler and Aboushi and _______@ORT.

With so many PONs, fixing the starting Oline in house would be useful. It starts with the premise that Slater will be OK, having one year under his belt, with the untested Jaimes, rather than Feiler, next to him. Now about that depth problem...

Look below to see how much damage TT did by trading away our high 3rd round pick to move up for Murray...(imagine who we could have had if we had just stayed put at #37 AND #71:

Geoff Schwartz had an interesting comment in there,
                  exchanging with tunnel-vision analytics-crazed PFF.

Indianapolis Colts offensive line in the Manning area was very physical.

Like Staley said running the ball wears down the defense - its harder to stop the run physicall

So on offense, the Chargers are not wearing down the defense

On defense, the opponents are wearing down the offense

Even if time of possession is close - more running plays is more physical

If healthy, Schwartz sure would be an upgrade over Norton...he had back issues last season and surgery in February...don't want another habitually damaged goods player like Bulaga, though...

That trade just saved TT the embarrassment of whiffing on another 3rd round pick.
