Yes, giving up 10 yards when you know they’re running it and you call a TO to get your run d set is really the epic failure of the Chargers and the thing that haunted us all seasonOriginally posted by richpjr View Post
Staley's defense giving up 10 yards in that situation, despite subbing in the players he wanted, is really the bad thing here. Well, that and the other swiss cheese run D all game long.

Did you see a lot of off target throws by Herbert? I sure didn’t. In fact he threw one of his greatest games. How many of the misses happened in the 4th quarter when every Charger play was a pass and the Raiders were playing 7/8 defensive backs and their DL wasn’t even thinking about defending the run? How many occurred because of dropped passes hitting receivers in the hands or failing to get separation because they were exhausted. Remarkable he only had 1 interception considering how many times he threw into tight windows. Doubt anyone could have done better or had a higher completion percentage making those throws.Originally posted by electricgold View PostIf Herbert has a better completion rate against the Raiders we win easy, this is the secret stat that we need a good percentage in the big games from Herbert 1st... since everything really is put on his shoulders.Last edited by LOhunter; 01-26-2022, 04:59 PM.
