Tillerys dead cap is nothing and unless it has been changed, dead cap can be spread out over 2 seasons.

No no, save money, lose games.

People keep telling me, we lost games and missed the playoffs cuz of the terrible D. Tillery started in the middle of that ultra terrible Dline, why would anybody want to keep him if they want to win games?? Total contradiction when serviceable backups are already in camp and outplaying him. Again, fuck the money. Win games.

ran into/across Chris Hayre today and he echoed pretty much the same thing, that he thinks the Chargers like the both of 'em.... Spiller 'n Pips.

for myself, was much more enamored w/Kelley coming out than I am w/Spiller, albeit obviously the latter is being made out to be much more the sure thing than the former, atm.

I blame ownership because they have been the one constant for going on forty years…these owners have done this time and time again putting GMs in these untenable situations where they somehow expect them to bat one thousand even tho the owners themselves meddle with the personnel decisions, LOL…the GM takes the blame, the fans get pissed, the players on the team and coaches are forced to work with players that suck but are uncuttable etc…it’s been going on for decades with the chargers, tillery and bulaga (pipkins?) are two recent examples of players taking up roster spots even after it became apparent that they could not perform…and then you have YOUNG guys like rashawn jenkins and kyzir white not being resigned even tho they proved themselves as starters or others like quessenberry proved themselves as back ups and this puts the GM and the scouts and the coaches in the situation where they have to REFILL a hole they just filled even though they are working on filling other holes…now they have to find another guy, get that guy up to speed, and coach a team with shitty depth…this is why I don’t drive the ‘fire TT bus’ anymore, because none of that is going to change until the chargers have the type ownership that hires football people and then trusts them to do their job, and then stays the fuck out of the way…

I've always been pleased with our ownership who cares at this point they did what they had to do for this year....We have the better head coach and system in place, there is no way the raiders beat us with their new HC coaching in his first game for the raiders! I remember when this coach was being mentioned for the Chargers job and everybody laughed and said no way!!!!! Now the Raiders have him. Again noway this guy outcoaches Staley & Co. game 1. Right?

                Staley is a genius.
essentially, his strategy is to win with more talent than opposing teams.

                    LOL!
                    It helps.
The right people used the right way is key. Staley is big on the TEAM concept.
Different units and specialists support each other so we'll see how that goes

McDaniels has more experience beating the Chargers than Staley has beating the Raiders. Advantage McDaniels.

As a HC McDaniels has a losing record against us.

I've never liked Tillery... I thought it was a poor draft pick. Having said that, I recognize that he is probably the 2nd best interior pass rusher (behind Morgan Fox) on the roster. Because of that, he will make the roster.

Where Tillery is truly awful is stopping the run. I don't want to see him on the field unless we're in 2nd-and-long or 3rd-and-long.
We brought in 2 studs to run Staley's DL... SJD and AJ will pay off on 1st down. We will be in situations where Fox and Tillery can come in and play to their strengths as pass rushers.

I will have no problem with Bosa, Fox, Tillery, and Mack on 2nd-long or 3rd-long. If you can bring a LB up over the center to occupy him (even if the LB drops post-snap) and get some 1-on-one's going for those 4 DL... I think you'll see some decent production out of Tillery... who I hate BTW.
