    me too
i think first through free agency we fill our glaring holes /needs

    draft bpa on three levels
    game changers
    at or near starting level
    emergency fill ins that

then a second round of free agency to fill other holes not filled

      I liked his answer
He is not afraid to win games

Staley is building an attitude and a program. This was year 1 - have to start somewhere.

The Staley "Bolster" To Do List:

        1. O-line...especially RT
        2. D-Line
        3. CB's
        4. LB's
        5. Backup RB's
        6. Safety depth

Let's see...did I miss anything? Sure looks like a whole lot of "bolstering" needs to be done there, Staley...also, looks like we'll be having fun with Staley's "bolstering" comment just like we did with Lynn's "he's a backup for a reason"...

I think quotes like this miss the point completely unfortunately.
Earlier this season in a nationally televised home game against the Kansas City Chiefs, Staley blew three chances to kick makeable field goals when his fourth-down conversion attempts failed. The Chargers lost by six points in overtime. Those field goals would have won the game.

The reason Plaschke is wrong is he is assuming the chiefs and Andy reid would make the same decisions in terms of kicking FGs, not going on 4th down, etc.

thats my list too -- but this order (so added another IDL before Edge)
RT, IDL, CB, IDL, Edge, RB...

Agree we need a solid, run-stuffing DT even more than Edge...hopefully slotting works out to get IDL in round 1 or 2...

Yes, every decision is in its own separate vacuum. We take the points there, then Reid and Mahomes adjust accordingly and do something else entirely.

Someone else explained it better in another forum but here it is again:
In every situation that the Chargers went for, kicking it would only have it remain a 1 score game. You can't assume that if you change the process that the outcome is the same. They only "left 9" points on the field in 3 discrete events that do not necessarily correlate to the same outcome had they chosen to get those points in 3 point intervals. It changes the Chiefs decision making and process. Reid kicked FG's in the redzone and the end result ended up being the same, if the Chargers kick FG's the process for the Chiefs is different.

You have to analyze it as a series of discrete events, you judge process, not outcome.

Were the Ravens WR any good though?

Someone else posted best plan for that I’ve seen, as it uses both draft stock and FA $$ we’ve already spent:

                        Fieler to RT
                        Jaimes to RG

Feiler struggled with athletic twitchy IDL and you think the best position for him is out on an island with nothing but space around him with more athletic twitchy EDGE athletes?
