    Agreed.
We need young vets from DEN, CHI, LAR to improve this run D.
    ie system familiarity.
Personally, I am getting a wild hair about draft strategy.

I know late draft picks look appealing, but by and large they are just roster fillers. And we need more than roster fillers at the back end of the roster to compete for championships
Now, if you excuse me, I have some Charger memories to suppress.

I see some odd duck DTs late
who could contribute in a rotation.
        Boat load of CBs.
Some can actually cover and tackle.
No excuse for not getting a punter.
        Araiza or Camarda.

          I see numerous DTs,
          each with some warts,
available with our late comp picks.

IMV invest in EDGE, DB, ORT.
          Draft skill position.

Our run defense issues revolve somewhat around talent level, yes.
However, they are largely a matter of playing team defense--assignment football, and executing the bloody assignments.
Fehoko? If we sign those I mentioned, does Fehoko even make the team? He is in the group with Graziano and Forrest.

TT should bundle late comp and regular picks for fewer but higher picks. 6th and 7th rd picks are two inches away from UDFAs and as noted, replacing current UDFAs with new raw UDFAs is a very long shot at success. For every really good player taken in 7th or UDFA, there are a hundred that wash out.

It’s sad when your practice squad players are better than your starters.

They are kind of the same. Our practice squad extends all the way into our starting DL. Hence the problem that more practice squad players doesn’t fix. TT should trade away many of those late picks for a couple solid journeymen if possible.

Yes Covington wasn't very good imo. Rather see Fehoko playing over him.

Yeah it's all or nothing with these DTs.
I am solely thinking of return on investment.
Either they are Donald or Vea,
                    or it's why bother.

I see Jessie Bates and Vonn Bell doing some sure tackling.
                    That's part of run D.

When looking at FA contracts, remember that the cap is going way up the next couple years.
