The 2022 defensive front seven and secondary rebuild is pretty damned impressive from where I'm sitting.

And no urgency to draft a DT at that spot, with Day-Joseph and Austin Johnson already brought in to shore up the hemorrhaging in Run Defense. With Mike Williams re-signed, there's likewise no urgency to spend the biggest piece of draft capital they have on a wideout. The trade for Khalil Mack nearly eliminates the need to draft an Edge Rusher, certainly not at #17.
So as far as needs go, Right Tackle is there at the front of the list for the Bolts. It's also reasonable to believe that more than one qualified candidate will be on the board when the time comes for the Chargers to make their 1st round pick.
So I tend to think the pick will be a RT, too, unless a ridiculous talent takes a Derwin James-like drop. I think that possibility exists with a receiver, a guy with the speed to blow the back end off of defenses.

I think Penning is probably gone by 17. More and more I'm wondering if we don't grab a true speed threat at WR like Jameson Williams or Chris Olave. Will make it easier to move on from Keenan Allen in a year or two if need be for cap purposes.
