Liked Zion a lot, more than anyone still on board

Kyle H was close would have been nuts

The Utah LB was my 2nd player available or the OT Penning
But liked Zion more than the 2

I love the pick. The two other guys I was interested in at 17 were McDuffie and Jermaine Johnson. But to have two young studs on the O-line that should be there for a decade is so refreshing.

Interesting that Telesco sees him at RG with Feiler staying at LG. We probably take a RT at 79 and see how it goes starting two rookies on the right side in training camp.

If the team is playing tomorrow he's okay with it.

Love the pick. One of the highest floor players in the entire draft. Protect Herbert for years.

In regards to Feiler staying at LG and Zion at RG, Norton was bad but what a lot of us haven’t talked about is that Schofield was just as bad at RG. Feiler-Linsley-Zion will keep the interior of the pocket together and giver Herbert the option to actually step up into the pocket which often wasn’t an option with Schofield in. Zion is also a high processor and will be much more adept at dealing with the stunts a lot of teams threw at our right side last year. Yes, RT is still a worrisome position but having significantly better play at RG will be helpful to whoever is at RT, as we saw when Aboushi was in there.

KC also drafted George Karlaftis, and even though he won't be lining up directly over Zion most of the time, they will definitely have some battles. It's going to be fun to watch.

I'd say it's either Pipkins or a signing from cuts after the draft.
We aren't done with the defense.

Not thrilled with hearing Trey Pipkins and Storm Norton are our only options at RT (again). Really hope they drafted someone better than either guy. It shouldn’t be too hard to find someone better even in later rounds of this draft.

Both Pipkins and Norton would have trouble finding a job with any other team if the Chargers cut them, they are that bad imo.
Tom Telesco’s Results in 9 years as Chargers GM:

                        - 69-74 record
                        - 0 division titles in 9 yrs as GM
                        - Worst record among all active GMs with same tenure
                        - 6th worst winning percentage among all active GMs overall
                        - 2 playoff wins despite elite QB all 9 yrs
                        - Team still has the same weaknesses (Oline and run defense) that it had when hired as GM in 2013
                        - Consistently puts together horrible depth, expects starters to never miss games

They still have to do something at RT IMO. Storm Norton will get owned by speed rushers like Maxx Crosby again. It is just irresponsible and dangerous to have him at RT.
