I see him as a utility FB / TE ball carrier, blocker, receiver.
I don't see him as a specialist that D's can key on.
    I wish him well

I would love to see more Horvath as well. Also he has solid hands I would love to get him out in space off of play action.

He got four carries last season and didn't look good on any of them. He average 2 ypc and his longest was 3 yds. But I'll not draw any definitive conclusion from that definitive solution. It would be interesting to have him catch more balls and see if he can run over people.

I'm not taking the ball out of my playmakers' hands to give it to him more than twice a month. Nobody should be expecting him to be a factor in 2023, jmo.

LOL! We could have LT back there with that O line and he wouldn't do that much better. There were ZERO running lanes. The running plays were alway muddy at the LOS. And I'm certainly not going to judge him off of 4 carries. His 2 TD's were passes. He had a fantastic start to his career with 2 TD's in 2 games. Then Lombardi just went full turtle mode the rest of the season.

Well Ekeler averaged 4.5 ypc and gained a career high 915 yds and scored 13 rushing TDs behind last season's OL, so it couldn't have been that bad.

Kelley gained 287 yds on 69 carries for a 4.2 average as well.

Horvath wasn't even that good at Purdue to be honest. As a junior he did average 5.0 ypc on 89 totes and scored 2 TDs. But as a senior his ypc was 3.5 on 91 carries and he scored 3 TDs. Not sure why he was even drafted to be honest. Better players go undrafted every year.

The Chargers were 30th in YPC with 3.8
I know they are a passing attack but 1524 yards for a season is not enough.

You're comparing a RB to a FB. Of course the YPC are going to be higher. Again. He was underutilized, even as a FB.

Where the hell did those other 131 carries come from...? According to NFL.com they had 404 carries...

                        I can think of 3 RB's, 6 WR's, and 3 TE's I'd rather have on the field over Horvath.
