I had to run out to a band rehearsal right after the end and intentionally avoided the last 50 pages of gnashing and gnawing for scalps.

Lombo did not call a shitty game, get over your armchair OC fantasy. If Everett doesn’t fuck Herbert by jump-stepping outside at the last second right as Herbie was throwing, when the coverage was the DB in outside leverage which he and QB are both supposed to read and cut (throw) inside, we win the game despite being screwed out of 2 INTs that then allowed KC to get points (Or 3, depending on how some count here). Herbie read it right, Everett fucked up. It was interesting to see the camera on Everett before the play when he was begging to be pulled out. Late 4th quarter down to the goal line and he decides he needs to be pulled out - and then fucks up the route for a P6. Tsk tsk … gotta do better than that.

Don’t despair - sure, we took a L. But we also showed we can play KC. They got lucky, We are the better team.

At the end of the day everyone is talking about JH and his badassery. Coming back and firing off a TD like that. Hurt. Lots of fans were made last night,

Time to get all 3 phases going at the same time. We are so inconsistent on a weekly basis. Defense looks like it will be able to produce for us. Get the ball back for JH. The offense just needs to get up to speed. Hard to do without Keenan. I expect him back week 3. Thinking positively about it for sure. Probably commit more snaps to Kelley as well.

      Aloha.

that was disappointing - no charger even close.

However, Lombardi needs creative. Take a shot here amd there. That pass to Carter on the last TD drive was insane and Herbert was injured when he threw that.

To quote Staley "because he is Justin Herbert".
Open it up a little more, be creative.
Too much stuff between 0 - 5 yards down field ..... and they are not in position for yac.

Clapp should have been giving Feiler help, taking note of where Chris Jones is lined up.

Clapp is Lombo's guy ..... his failures are Lombo's failures.

I keep thinking about going for it on 4th down. It seemed to me we had some pretty good places to do it but didn't. When you are around the other team's 45, punting seems fruitless and we had two times that were in that position but punted. I'm guessing he trusts his defense so much that it keeps him from using the 4th down now?

                It was shaky,
and then they put together what should have been the go ahead score near the end - with some 3rd rate Olinemen thrown into duty.

I generally stray from criticizing bad calIs
but unless officials had access to a camera located in Assante Samuel's belly button,
there were zero reasons to over call the play.

                  It was an interception.

I thought they took away two interceptions in that game.

I looked at it again today. There is no clear evidence that it wasn't a pick. That play never should have been overruled. I hate to gripe about officiating but this time, they should have let the ruling on the field stand.

Coach, why you don't go on 4th more often this year ?
                      Now, I have a defense !

I don’t think Travis Kelce has ever been lifted up and body slammed like that and he’s a very large man. I know there’s injury concerns but Derwin hits hard and he was all over the place last night. Worth every penny IMO.

He is our best player on defense, by far. Not sure who is questioning his contract but I would hope everyone realizes how crucial he is.
