You still need the right calls and execution. Analytics is just another tool to help you win.

Pretty bad when a player starts doubting his own coach publicly...and I don't blame KA...

We do not play modern football.

Lombardi did a great job of helping him out today as well.

Lol, I predict this will not age well.

2 missed fgs. Otherwise they score 13 same as us and win

You can't fire him he is to much of a players coach.

                  Quick ;thoughts

I would like to see a nicely designed play for Horvath other than a FB dive.
I would like to see more deep pass attacks like 5-6 more pg.
Sure would like to see the rook run a couple times.
                  Ekeler is a BEAST.
Would to love see any semblance of this "vaunted D coach" defense, So far they are looking very poor...
Bitter sweet win. I'll take a W any way we can get it.

                  Lastly,
The play calling is terrible. It's not an offense where it features the best player.
Herbert feels really constrained to me. Let him move around. Get him rolling.
Given Herbert’s injury, I don’t see the last part happening for a while.

I thought a horrible decision and the "math" from what I have seen was not overwhelming, It was like 3 points - thats the margin of error. Win probably of 79 to 82%. Thats not a lot and not nearly enough to say "analytics".

I think you put a QB like Brissett in a situation where he has to make MULTIPLE plays to get in FG and not ONE play to get in FG range. And unless the punter shanks or it it gets block - the Broans probably have to go 45 to 50 yards to get in FG with ZERO time outs

Analytics can tell you what to call. Like I said before if you want to rely on analytics we can have a robot call the game

I was okay with the play calling except the initial drive and the 3rd and 2 hurry up offense
I think when its under three yards to go and you KNOW you are going on 4th down, run it on third as you might either 1) get the first down or 2) make 4th down easier

Two incomplete passes and they punt

Like has been said - penalties and the Palmer drop are not on Lombo
