Truth is the Big-4 were on the field together for a grand total of 1/2 game last year... and they still went 10-7.
Truth is they lost their Pro Bowl LT 3 games into the season... and a rookie impressed as he held the position down.
Truth is that their worst O-lineman (Feiler) has been replaced by afore mentioned rookie O-lineman
Truth is that JCJ was never really missed as Vato came in and played better than 85% of the NFL CB's in the league.
Truth is that the Chargers replaced a poor tackling LB (Tranquill) with a better tackling LB (Kendricks).
Truth is that the very OC that you complained about last year has been replaced with a better OC.
Truth is that JH played the whole year with fractured cartilage last year and will start the year pain-free.

The truths are there. You just seem unable to recognize/acknowledge any of them.
You missed Herbert shoulder surgery on L side at season end. Something was wrong there.
Linsley missed some games. Pipkins missed some then played hurt. The rookie RG was good, not great, gave up several sacks & pressures.
    WR Guyton,missed most of year.
K9 was rehabbing a surgery to start season.
DL- AJ missed most of year Tillery sucked his way off the team Tito went in IR
    Rumph didn't show up much..
Easy to forget when so damn many were hurt Staley sucks! Except we went 10-7 and made the playoffs.

The truth? Like there is a zero percent chance he plays this year? LMAO at the hyperbole. You sure there isn't a 0.1% chance he plays? Seriously, calling out this bullshit doesn't make someone a Pollyanna.

I’d be delighted if ANYONE in TPB can list the names of all players with the same injury and which never made it back. Lets not cherry pick to only list guys that didn’t, gotta list them all, right?

apparently you don’t know a single one, but you’re absolutely certain anyway. gotcha my Big Smoke Brother!

Edit: rich did not say there was zero chance. He said there’s an 80% chance. A bit of number throwing, the negative LAT article said 50%. Regardless, its not zero.

Yet you still got zero. We’ll work on it - not giving up on you, you old curmudgeon. Skip the hug, let’s go up top, eh big guy!

The injury has claimed the careers of shooting stars such as ex-Buccaneers running back Cadillac Williams, 2011 Cardinals second-round draft pick Ryan Williams and former Patriots linebacker Jerod Mayo.7 oct. 2016

There are plenty of reasons to hope 2023 > 2022 for those of us open to it. Some are closed down and will not believe until after it happens. Any data or news is deconstructed to the most negative possible conclusion because that is safer than taking a risk on hope.

Is that it - 3? Any players have the injury but recover and play?

Victor Cruz... but he wasn't the same after.
Morris Claiborne and Jimmy Graham were players that returned to form.
It's a very small number of players that re-cover and are at the same level as before.

Surgical procedures and therapy for sports injuries improves almost daily. Computers have vastly sped up sharing of information, techniques, etc.
That's one thing about the enormous amount of NFL money that can be tapped into. It greases the path of advancements.
Experience with injuries similar to JCJ's have paved the way to greater success. No guarantees but his odds are better than in the past.

I think there's others besides those you mentioned.

If JCJ isn't explosive like before, but still productive, that's fine by me.
