Everything I've read about the injury JCJ - ruptured patellar tendon - is that in every case, players who suffer this are never the same again. They're slower and less athletic. I don't hold out high hope that JCJ will ever be a CB1 for the Chargers. At this point I've got my hopes up that Michael Davis can step into the role as CB1.

My cousin in law had a similar injury. He used to play a lot of basketball but says he can’t anymore because it is different when he jumps. He doesn’t have the explosiveness anymore. I know it is not apple to apple comparison but relatable.

The fix you made was draft 2 CB’s.

I take the opposite viewpoint. IF you have a bad pass rush then….yes…you can’t have enough shutdown DB’s.

But if you have a great pass rush, you take a lot of heat of your DB’s in coverage.

Same on the other side of the ball.

What would really upgrade the Chargers is giving Herbie more time in the pocket and less time to opposing QB’s.

Trenches. Keep the emphasis there like SF does.
