With DD, I don’t know if I would throw him the ball very often, but I would have him out there 10 plays a game running 40 yard sprints just to back the D up. And maybe he gets free deep once in a while. He has speed, use it. Same with Guyton. Force the safeties deep, make the LBs go deeper to cover.

I have a strong sneaking suspicion that one of the reasons we did not draft any TEs, is that MW, KA, and Palmer are all good run blockers.

We can mix n marry all day.

I thought that was the big reason they didn't sign Schultz - he was kind of duplicative too. Meaning that intermediate range for the space KA and Palmer occupy

Now drafting a TE - thats more longer term - not sure the reason there

I bet you guys Moore will use QJ like a TE. Faster than TE in a WR body. He’ll probably burn the typical LB.

right now, I have him as WR3 and hopefully by mid-year he is WR1

I would not be opposed as I think the team needs a bit more pass rush.

If you are 60m in the red for 2024 - whats another maybe 3-5 at this point. Pushing all your chips in but a couple quarters and a half dollar might not be the wisest way to go. If you are going all in - push a little harder.

He was the fasted guy at the combine

Maybe he was a bit of a reach but he has a skillset that you cannot teach - better this kind of pick than say Jonathan Crompton at QB under AJ who couldn't hit the broad side of a barn with his throws.

Staley loves Floyd and Floyd loves him back. Callahan had his best season in years under Staley. Van Noy resurrected his career under Staley. John Johnson loves Staley and Staley loves him back. I am pretty certain all four of these players would love to play for Staley and the Chargers. But the Chargers can only afford one of them and it will be for one year.

Which one you really want the most?

I think the Chargers can afford Callahan and Swaim if they are the league minimum or the league minimum plus a small signing bonus

As for Floyd or JJ3 - I think I would go with Floyd - starts up front hitting the QB.
