Wow...just...wow...very telling...come on Kroenke, do for the Bolts what soccer teams do! Even if you have to buy rolls of turf before every game!

Would Dean be able to/allowed to buy grass just for Charger home games?
I'm sure he isn't, im sure there's a bunch of red tape or something about not modifying the field.
        But maybe?

          • The second-team offensive line in Wednesday’s practice: LT Andrew Trainer, LG Brendan Jaimes, C Will Clapp, RG Zack Bailey, RT Foster Sarrell. Rookie guard Jordan McFadden worked with the third team.

Kroenke owns Arsenal. He put the grass in. Apparently they had some issues with it before the game started but it held up very well.

No top soccer leagues allows artificial turf. It can be used at lower levels to keep cost down, and it's also very common here in Scandinavia for climate reasons, but you'll never see a Premier League or Champions League game played on anything but real grass.

The Chargers have signed Milton Wright out of Purdue. Wright was eligible for the draft, but he was in the supplemental draft, but there were no takers. He's an intriguing prospect at 6 foot 3. His speed is a question mark though. I don't know if this signing reflects a concern re Guyton's availability. I don't think so, personally. I think the Moore/Staley/Telesco are following a philosophy I've been talking about - making sure the practice squad is stocked with valid NFL WR talent who can be capable stepping up in case of injury to the WR corps on the roster. The WR depth on the PS was sorely neglected during Lombardi's tenure as OC, resulting in a situation last season where Michael Bandy was starting games when KA/MW/JG were all out. Moore wants to make sure that never happens. He wants to ensure that Herbert always has NFL quality receivers to throw to, and he wants to keep the PS stocked with talent at all times.

In those Purdue highlights, he really, really reminds me of Mike Williams. His speed and his acceleration don't look so great, but his body style and body control, the way he catches the ball, even the way he reacts after the catch all scream MW.

Starting on the PUP he better get on the field or he may be cut.

I don't think so. Kellen Moore has always carried 6 WR on the roster and none of the UDFA or last year's PS WRs are going to replace him. The only way that happens is if JG's knee is not sufficiently healed to start the season.
