    2) more stops on third down defense - defense just needs to get the hell off the field
What you say here matters and is true, but #1 W-L.
I'm optimistic based on a top 2 passing offense. We were #3 last year and 2 may be conservative. That was yards. This year we need more scoring. Chunk plays matter. Enter Moore. Dal was #4 scoring offense last year, #1 in '21.
We can play some O with possibly the most prolific receiving group in the NFL.
This year's opponents are four games vs last year's top 10 defenses. We'll need to win some shootouts vs top 10 offenses (6 games) and appear to be prepared to do so.

Now, if you excuse me, I have some Charger memories to suppress.

True the Chargers got a lot of yards but they didn't score points. That is where the third down plays come in to play. If on every drive you need to convert, 3, 4 or 5 third downs, you can do well for the game meaning 7 out of 10 - but that also means three drives stalled.

So yes, the key for the chargers is more chunk plays, explosive plays and touchdowns.

I am more optimistic than pessimistic but holding a little back until its proven on the field. But right now, I am bullish on the team

I'm more 70% optimist, 30% wait and see.
I really like this roster & coaches.
          I've felt that way before.
          -but this feels different.

So, what you're saying is that our retreads aren't worth much?
            I buy that. :Beer1:

Tranquill was the only one who was close and he missed the cut off by like $2m
That would have been for a 7th rounder

Chargers also didn't have many free agents worth the salary to get a comp pick (three that I can think of and one retired and they brought back Pipkins)

So the NFL sent me an e-mail to tell me that Sunday Ticket was now aligned with YouTube TV for the 2023 season. It tells me that I can get 100 bucks off the deal, so I look. It offers the typical Sunday out of market games package for something like 239 bucks for the season. But as I read further it says that I first have to subscribe to YouTube TV FOR A YEAR at 74.95 per MONTH. So about 900 bucks there and 239 for ST and I can watch games for a cool 1139.00 bucks or so, not including a bunch of fees and taxes I'm sure.

                        Gee......No thanks NFL.......

I'm thinking Google has priced it too high and will find very few takers. Google stock will take a hit after the next earning report.
