How many drives did the Chargers have this year where it seemed they needed to convert multiple third downs to score

The Chargers need to improve the offense while also trying get about $40m of cap. So from a cap perspective - Allen is the easiest to work with. JJ Watt was released two years ago by the Texans and he was a better player for Houston than Allen for the Chargers. It happens - older higher priced players get released.
OT Chiefs - Did you notice the two TD passes that Mahomes threw were simple routes that were designed to look like the WRs were crashing down to run block the defensive end. The route stopped reserved course into a flat route, and Mahomes hit on both of these: first on the right, then on the left. God damn.

Every organization can play the hindsight is 20/20 game. But Mort reported that Andy Reid wanted to coach the Chargers. I get it was that time when they hired Ron Wolf to lead a committee to hire Telesco and Mike McCoy. But dammit to heck, Andy Reid as head coach would have been a game changer. Not sure if the Chargers never called him or the Hunt family said Big Andy is not leaving KC - but what a good coach he is

He is so creative on offense. Seems like he has a lot of fun too. The plays out of the huddle. How he is in the locker room. Multiple GMs from Dorsey to Ballard to now Veach - guy understands the NFL. Not bad for an old TE coach .

When ya got a top tier QB it puts the success of said team squarely on the coaching staff,GM,and basically ownership.I think its great because all the pressure is on them to succeed or be proven losers like most of us already know them to be.Do I hope they prove us wrong?Of course I do,do I think they will?Weeeeeeelllll....

I have every bit the sentiment for the player as anyone here. But what changes the math - for me - is that stretch during this season when we played that game of whether or not our WR1 could go, week-after-week. And I swore I would never allow myself to be place in that situation ever again. I believe it is time to be aggressive. Why?

Raiders have 3 Super Bowls. Broncos have 3. Now, the Chiefs have 3. I'll let you color in the rest.
Bill Belicheat also agrees with this statement...that's one way the Cheatriots get so many comp picks...

Didn't work at all in the SB. I don't they counted on the KC O line being that effective.

In today's NFL offense wins SBs. The day of defense wins championships is over. The passing game has evolved into something
that is unstoppable once you have the right QB.
More like the league/ refs have evolved.

JJ Watts contract expired, he wasn't released.
And from 27 years old only had 3 seasons where he played 16 games. He did it twice in his 30's. Last at age 33.

I am of the opinion that football age has more to do with skills, speed declining than injuries.
You can get injured at any age and hamstrings spare nobody and take a longer time to heal for everyone.

And though Keenan Allen is the number 1 WR on the Chargers - he is not a #1 WR in the NFL anymore. I have watched enough of the playoffs to know that. So he is better than Michael Bandy and Jason Moore - thats not going to cut it.
and got it.... work order for team Tommy John this offseason >> get us the best receiver in the NFL (w/no cap and the 21st pick) and a Gates equivalent TE.... fair enough and righty O mate,

This is what we all saw. Chiefs saw the Eagles' defense - by burning a down - and the Eagles used safeties dropping out in their coverage scheme. And they did it twice. Masterful job by Andy Reid and his staff, this story should be in the Hall of Fame as Bill Belichick's gameplan against the Bills is.

who are you pounding the table for this year ?? who in the world do you possibly think the Chargers can bring in that can even hold a candle to Keenan ??

Or you can go to Google for 5 seconds and find out that yes, in fact, the texans released JJ Watt
Granted the team could have traded him but they honored his request to be released.
Either way - he wasn't going back to Houston
And you cannot compare the careers of Allen and Watt - one is a first ballot HOFer; the other has been a very good NFL player

The WRs I like so far are Flowers, Hyatt and Reed

If you don't understand why I am releasing Keenan Allen - you are not paying attention - its pretty clear
