I absolutely and not saying that an elite RB would not help our O - it would help all teams. My point was that those QBs need an elite RB because their QBs aren't going to be able to carry their teams. Again, Robinson is a stud and as I have said I think he is the highest rated player in the draft. But at a position that makes it hard to pick a RB early.
oh and to your first point. I agree all those played into Herbert not throwing deep as much last year but imagine a world in which hurt Herbert didn’t have to Hero his way through games and could just let a Running back shorten the game and take some of the load off of him. I would love to have a back who can say ok 27-0 don’t worry guys o got this and go take that off our oline and wb to have to be in pass protect mode up that many points.

Murray imho is not a great fit for Bijan because he’s part running back himself. Part of his talent is that he can scramble really well. It’s like having Bijan with Mahomes, sure I’m sure it would be awesome but a lot of Bijans work would go to Mahomes and his improv.

Sure Geno could use help but I mean Geno could use help everywhere. He’s not going to take you all the way but he won’t lose it for you either.

A tight end is the last thing I wanna see chosen # 1. “If you can’t stifle them with defense, overwhelm them with offense.” Not comfortable with that attitude with a #1. I’m still haunted with being up 27 on Jacksonville.

          J. Bosa had only one tackle in that JAX game
          No sack, one TFL
Did he play after the helmetgate ?

Bosa has to get back to why he got that huge extension. More sacks and less hothead steroid like behavioral penalties. The more seasoned mature Kahil Mack seems to have had no effect on him of late.

Me too. Up 42 would be nice.

I agree. I think a lot of people on this forum want us to build up a scoring machine that will be more dominant than the Chiefs' attack. Maybe we can be the 1999 through 2001 St. Louis Rams or 2013 Denver Broncos! I think that will be a huge mistake if Telesco takes that approach, and with the wide receivers not impressing me at all I will be disappointed if we take one in the first round.

But I also think building a more productive running game to close out the fourth quarter is the way to go, and drafting Michael Mayer in the first round would probably be a step in the right direction for that. While Dalton Kincaid supposedly isn't a good blocker, if he has the potential to be a Travis Kelce I think you have to take him over prospects at other positions whose ceilings are much lower. I'm much more impressed with the tight ends than the wide receivers, and the position is really important in Moore's scheme.

Ultimately I'm just hoping the football gods will give us Bijan Robinson. If that happens I'll probably be as happy as Mike Ditka was when he drafted Ricky Williams. I won't even have to watch the rest of the draft. I'll probably just turn the TV off and order Robinson's jerseys in all four different colors.

I don’t get any Kelce vibes from Kincaid, not at all. I do get some from Mayer, a little bit.

Kincaid is a better receiver than Mayer. Not saying he is a Kelce but he is the best receiving TE in this class. The one interesting guy at TE
is Washington. He has all the physical skills, but production isn't there. Is it because he played with Bowers? Does he need development
time? Don't know but he's still a possibility @21. If it's between the tiny receivers available @ 21 and any of the three top TEs' I'd go TE.

However I do think there is a better than 50% chance we go defense in the 1st.

I think Kinkaid is a better receiver, but Mayer is an all around better tight end. I also worry about Kinkaid being able to stay healthy.

Mayer is currently a better blocker. But Kincaid is not a bad blocker. He's just hasn't been used that way. If it was me doing the drafting
I'd take Kincaid over Mayer, has a higher ceiling and currently a more dangerous receiver.

Unfortunately I do not believe he will last at 21. GB and others will have a shot at TE and they will pick Kincaid. We will have a better shot
at Mayer or Washington, but not sure the Chargers will go in that direction.

Lots of people are mocking a WR to the Chargers. The guys that maybe available look to small for the kind of WRs we would want. Good
chance we go defense in the 1st.

Ever wonder why Herbert stopped throwing so aggressively deep after Steichen left and Lombardi had Herbert taking the Dink and dunks? It wasn’t because Herbert’s arm got worse it’s because Lombardi overused Ekeler and once he gets into a real offense Ekeler will be what he has always been, a great change of pace 3rd down back.

Bijan can be much better than that.
LOL, so ekeler only produced because he was featured? So by that logic why draft running backs ever again? Apparently all we have to do is “feature” UDRFA backs and they’ll lead the league in touchdowns in back to back years guaranteed…
