I like his background as a WR. He just needs to keep improving as a blocker.

Only 2 RBs on that Popper list, and 1 TE. The Chargers must like what they have.

          Overview

          Michael Ezeike TE

Former wideout who is continuing to grow into his frame as a tight end. Ezeike lacks poise and body control getting into his blocks, but once’s he there, he displays some fight and hand strength to maintain the battle. He’s not very elusive as a route runner, but he does show decent talent after the catch. He’s a developmental prospect, but he could find his way onto a practice squad.
          Strengths
          • Added around 30 pounds since the start of his UCLA career.
          • Puts decent effort into blocking with room for improvement.
          • Latches in with hand strength for improved block sustain.
          • Build-up speed on intermediate routes.
          • Good stiff-arm and physicality as a run-finisher after the catch.

          Weaknesses
          • Enters blocks with elevated pad level and outside hands.
          • Lacks body control needed for consistent run blocking.
          • Below-average hand quickness as pass-catcher.
          • Sluggish into routes and uncovering underneath.

Probably will have some that will be invited to the Rookie Mini Camp, but that's basically a wrap on the scramble. Who will make it onto the 53?

Only guy I see with a draftable grade was Clark. Not liking this UDFA list at all

I think they are good with what they have a TE, but at RB, I gotta think they are going sign E. Elliot or K. Hunt.

Makes sense, their agents look for teams where they'll have the greatest shot to make a roster, on a team like the chargers, I'm surprised they even convinced 18 of these guys to sign...

or maybe ekeler has come to his senses and is willing to sign the extension they originally offered him? it could be a sign that they are patching things up, at the very least I would love to see that happen...

This true. UDFAs want to land with teams that give them the best chance to make the roster. That's usually the worse teams. The Chargers, though, are needy at certain positions, like RB, and I thought that is one position where they would load up at UDFA. But apparently not.

I'm already assuming Ekeler is going to be a Charger this season. But we still need help at RB. Kelley is not even JAG and Spiller is still an unknown who was totally useless last season. They need a bonafide between the tackles RB. They signed Sony Michel last season hoping he would bring that, but it he was done. I don't know if Elliot is done too. But they need someone legit at RB besides Ekeler.
