Clearly the health of Herbert and WR led to a lot of check down passes. We averaged 6.7 (23rd in the league) yards per attempt last year compared to 7.4 (11th in the league) in 2021 and 7.2 (17th in the league) in the 2021 golden unicorn year of Steichen's mighty passing offense.

The Cowboys average the last 3 years was 7.0, 7.7 and 7.1 yards per pass attempt. Those are pretty similar numbers to ours and doesn't really match up with a lot of expectations about how we'll be going deep this year, though Herbert obviously is better at the deep ball than Dak.

I wanna see more fly passes this season. Chargers were 32nd in yards per pass. Keep Guyton. He and Herbert might connect again on deep passes, like they did.

Barring other last second entries, i can’t see how the judges are going to choose a winner between the two. We’re looking at an All-Win event, or as i like to call it - a participation trophy.

Pokey Wilson, a free agent receiver,

I think it’s cuz most of us grew up with Gumby on the cartoons every Saturday. Occam’s razor.

Clark is just a discontinued candy bar, and not a particularly good one.

Because DL is not as sexy as WR. I played WR in HS and I know this to be fact.

And btw, I agree that Clark is going to be the best UDFA of this lot.

I just have low expectations considering our current WR room but I believe he is an upgrade to Bandy so the depth is looking better.

Mines not high. But like i said TT's crew did a fine job finding Ekeler.

And this is important, given what happened last season when half the WR corps went down with injury and they were depending on Bandy, Moore and Doss. It makes me shudder in retrospect. Pokey appears to be a solid developmental project. And they need to have a couple or three of these guys on the PS at all times.
