So much WR talent in this draft, pick a couple promising prospects that can grow with Herbert, not a one year rental of an over-30 malcontented WR.

We need at least 3 more WRs between FA and draft. Even if we draft 2, I'd still look at FA for a #2/3 vet guy on a 1 year deal like a Boyd or Chark.

Sure. How many will make the transition to a great pro? We already struck out on the WR crap shoot. Would be nice to have someone reliable at the NFL level. I remember now it was Matt "Money" Smith who made the Thomas suggestion. There likely will be other receivers. Every other position pick up they've made so far has been a tarnished vet.

It's not an either/or proposition. Get an aging vet for cheap, have a good rebound season, then get a comp pick in 2026 when he goes and signs a bigger deal next season.

I have no problem signing a veteran for the cheap - but of the players out there, if cheap enough, I think I go with Renfrow.

Don't mind that. What happened to him last year. He was so good against us in years past.

I think DJ Chark could be an option at the right price. He has that deep speed they need. I also think they will wait to see if any other vets get released post draft.

Then with some trade downs I’d go after AD Mitchell. He has great speed, hands and route running. Not sure how his blocking is, but you know they would turn him into a good blocker. Then I go after Cornelius Johnson in the later rounds.

                        Go into the year with:

                        Josh Palmer
                        QJ
                        Darius Davis
                        DJ Chark
                        AD Mitchell
                        Cornelius Johnson

He was...idk, the last four game he had 3 targets. Don't know if he was dinged or not.
