This was a disappointing loss but silver lining moment, we were never going to be truly competitive this year. The moves made by H&H are not win now moves, they’re win later moves. If we can lose more and get Jeanty this team will look really good next year.
revisionist fucking bullshit, they became cap compliant only after they were forced to cut Mike, then Mack helped and then convinced or inspired Bosa to do the same, but what does cap compliant mean, they were just a few 100k under the cap with no money to spend in FA, draft picks, basically nothing and Mr Charger Keenan Allen played hardball with them and said no to any type of restructure...so according to you they were supposed to conduct their whole offseason with a few hundred thousand in cap space to keep KA at his salary and fuck the rest of the team depth and everything else? Hortiz was able to add a lot of depth and a few starters with the money he got back from the KA trade, without that money we wouldn't have been able to add Fulton, Molden, Perryman, Dobbins, Ford, Dupree, Edwards, Dissly, etc etc etc....but go ahead and keep spouting your nonsense, LOL...

Keenan rolled the dice that all those guys would get cut so he wouldn't have to restructure, he almost got his wish too...it's a miracle that Hortiz managed to get a 4rth rounder and two outta the four guys to stay with the Chargers...Keenan proved he didn't give a fuck about improving the team...

Dobbins played his ass off last night running hard and fighting for every inch. The OL just didn’t open any gaps.

It looked just like last year when the OL was dominated and Ekeler had no place but a brick wall to run into.

Not like Parham was a frequent RZ target, or some great player. Tomlinson isnt anything to speak of for sure but it is what it is. Parham isnt doing anything in Denver. Their TEs arent any better than ours....may be worse, and Parham is on their practice squad.

The McConkey shot downfield non call.

Either of those two solitary plays would have been decisive.

Frankly, either Chark or QJ would have helped greatly here, similar to what occurred vs the PIT defense.

Over aggressive defenses and defensive gameplans must get burned with chunk plays and downfield shots.

So the AZ defensive gameplan meant we needed to burn them and create space.

There were key drops by Smartt and Dissly on our crucial final drive which resulted in our 4th field goal.

          McConkey had drops early.

Fehoko was again tackled by the turf monster on what should have been a TD.

Alt had a ill timed false start.

The game was very winnable, in spite of comments from Hortiz wannabees around here, and GRo haters.

With our skill positions depleted, Herbert played well.

So far, it will still be us, Donkeys, Bengals and Colts trying for the final Wild Card spot IMV.
Agree, ....make the plays they were given. Harbaugh was upset after the game about Reagors fumble. Ball in the wrong arm. Seems Fehoko bobbles every catch and yes if he keeps his footing, its 6.
Defense not able to get Conner down was big fpor AZ. Worst tackling game this year by the defense.

We need a TE bad! Reciever too but a better TE is a big need. Dissley needs to be the TE2 for the run game and occasional pass catch.

Parham was a redzone threat with Herbert and teams had to respect that which opened things up for other people...and Parham was also one of the guys that Herbert felt comfortable with in 3rd down situations, Herbert could throw it high in the end zone knowing that if Donald didn't come down with it no one else would...who does he have in the roster right now that gives him that option?

I dont know what Njokus cap hit to use would be if we trade for him,.... but right now its 9.6 mil. I know it will be prorated, just dont know to what after 6-7 weeks but he is expensive for being an above average TE. He is great at times, but disapears as well.

I doubt Hotrtiz wants to take on that contract which runs thru 2026. But we need someone better than what we got, i just dont see it being him we target.

I agree we need more skills but I really think the main problem is at the design stage = Roman. he constantly reverts back to shit highly predictable, easily defended designs, both run and pass. He has 3 first round picks on his OL and they can't run anymore.

I was worried when JH picked him, after watching 7 games I have absolutely no confidence in him. I really welcome him to prove me wrong in the next game and beyond.

My more existential worry now is that I fear Jim Harbaugh is loyal to a fault and if 2024 gets washed away in a Greg Roman inept offensive implosion, will Jim do what is necessary next season?

who is going to gift us a real TE1 before the deadline, please cal Hortiz because I'm sure he'd love to hear this information...
I feel like you're not even reading what I'm posting. Let me break it down for you.

Short term: I doubt Hortiz is going to do anything earth shattering. Maybe he brings in a guy like MW or a retread TE — though I kinda doubt it. If he does, that will help the Bolts incrementally, but it won't turn the team into a contender.

Long term: A guy like MW or a retread TE will only marginally improve the team going forward. For us to get to the next level, we need a legit WR1— a dude that can take the top off the secondary — and a sure-handed, reliable TE1.

It would of been 3rd and 10 from the 30 instead of first and 10 from the 45. It was a factor. AZ probably runs a different play than that short pass Conner ran the next play for 25 yards.

That isnt why. Yes we would of been under but barely. We needed the room under the cap to sign others like Perryman, Fulton, Dissley,,,,,,,and all the other FAs. The other guys restructured. We are only 8 mil under the cap now. Had we kept Keenan we would be over the cap.
