Doesn't every team go in to every playoff game intent to bring their A game?

I sometimes think too much is made of some things,
“Less is more? NO NO NO - MORE is MORE!”

I don't like it, not one bit.

I know Harbaugh will keep these guys grounded, but it's human nature, hard to avoid all the praise.

Don't get soft on us now, fellas.

it is only interesting after the fact - "nobody believed in us" blah blah blah.

nothing is said the other 90% of the time, when the predicted ass whooping comes true.

Waiting for the team to say " we are going to bring our B-/C+ game and if we play a good 50 minutes, that will be enough"

But it's not the Chargers saying that. Nobody at The Bolt is trolling the Texans. That makes a diff.

QJ is a completely different player than Williams. QJ’s game is slowly developing. Let’s hope this last game is a springboard for the future. But it doesn’t mean that they can’t add another legitimate weapon on the outside.

A team I would call is the Bears and see what the want for DJ Moore. I love Moore’s game! Moore, Conk, QJ, a legit TE1 and a Legit RB1 could do some real damage.
just a friendly reminder that there is an opportunity cost for a TE1/RB1, and that's your trenches.... my suspicion/hope is that is the Chargers of Olde model, and that the new model continues along the line of an Alt before a Nabers.... Loveland/Warren can wait.

Vidal has had limited opportunities this season, so in his first playoff game there's a risk of him committing a mistake (fumble, ball bouncing off of his hands into an interception, etc.) that can be quite harmful. I think we should keep it simple and stick with Dobbins and Gus (if he plays). We could give Vidal some carries to shake off the jitters if we're way ahead in the fourth quarter, which I believe could happen against the Texans.
Herbert's health is a much more important variable than any perceived or hoped for advantage from playing Vidal over Haskins.... whomever protects our QB better gets the snaps far as I'm concerned.

agree.... our win percentage was pretty darn high when we had the both of Keenan 'n MW.... if Ladd 'n QJ can have any sort of semblance, think that's a huge advantage, 'specially given that 2 of 3 Texan wideouts are out of action.

This is one loss and the year is over time. I think at this point the Chargers are focused on winning and listen to the coaches, not the fans and sports writers.
I would think that continuing to win is at the top of their list. Enjoy outside adoration after we win the SB. It'll feel good as all heck then and it's OK to grin and wave.

think a healthy Herbert is a huge factor.... think them down two of three starting wideouts is a huge disadvantage for them, and....

still think, and like others are concerned about, recall that Phil's record was night and day based on whether he had a legit starting LT.... if Slater plays and mitigates their ED there.... I like our chances.
