Like i mentioned before, the catch % is kinda skewed. It based on tagets and catches and that list if you look at it shows what i mean.Originally posted by jubei View Postspeaking of WRs with drops it looks like Amari Cooper leads the league in drops for the bills at 12 drops and 44 catches. That is a terrible drop percentage. but qj isnt is at 7 drops with 55 catches. The number of drops seem low for him cuz in one game (one of his multiple forgettable ones) he had like 4 or 5 drops. I know he's dropped more than 2 or 3 more balls besides that one game.

Gabe Davis had zero drops but only has a 47.6 catch rate which is on Lawrence more than Davis. Rashid Shaheed also had zero frops but Carr missed many games so he had Rattler and the other scrub throwing to him and ended with a 48% catch rate.
A bad pass,.... if it is intended for you goes as a target.
Alec Pierce had 3 drops for a 53.6% catch rate but his QB (Richardson) cant hit the broadside of a barn.
Keenan had Caleb so his is one of his lowest of his career at 57.9%.
Tre Tucker 58% only 2 drops in 81 targets...we know who his crap QBs were.Last edited by Boltjolt; 01-16-2025, 01:30 PM.

yeah I didnt go by the number of passes thrown his way. I was just comparing what he caught versus what they counted as drops...like you say uncaught pass percentage can be misleading if many of the balls were not even catchable to start with.Originally posted by Boltjolt View Post

i agree that QJ is the last guy you want on a 50/50 ball. i was actually talking 80-20 in terms of separation (with 50/50 being very little separation). QJ has no shot at a 50/50 ball, which is why we need him in routes designed to help him get separation. i don't know what magic they worked in the raider game for QJ, but we need more of that.Originally posted by jubei View Post
you got the 80-20 in qj...he is the 20...IF THAT! But it'd be great if we could get more route technicians to open up the passing game. and getting dudes who CATCH balls instead of playing ping pong with the ball.
MW was king of the 50/50 ball, but i prefer Ladd and Keenan over MW, those guys get separation and earn an easy catch (no need for 50/50 skills).

Raiders played a lot a lot of zone, they sent him on routes to cut between zones. HOU played 1x1 man against him and stuck like glueOriginally posted by northerner View Post

Someone has a reason why Ladd had nearly 200 y against that defense ?
And nothing from elsewhere ?

Maybe GRo should have schemed somebody open once in a while. Nobody besides Ladd could get open on their own. Maybe GRo should watch some KC games this offseason and learn some modern passing concepts. Now, if you excuse me, I have some Charger memories to suppress.
Let’s win one for Mack.

I think its becoming a case of pick your poison: man coverage LADD eats vs Zone coverage QJ eats and LADD snacks. Problem is QJ goes hungry vs man coverage. Houston played alot of man and the times QJ did get open Herb didnt see or threw bad pass.Originally posted by Maniaque 6 View PostSomeone has a reason why Ladd had nearly 200 y against that defense ?

seems that way, and you watch a lot of tape. i think getting a strong WR to go with Ladd and QJ will make the group so much better. a good receiver who can play against man coverage or zone. QJ in the right mix becomes a stronger piece. he is strong as hell and can take the hits. Ladd is better at getting separation and then avoiding contact.Originally posted by NoMoreChillies View Post
