I think Cardale is as good as gone. He's been replaced by not 1 but 2 backup quarterbacks this off season.

I'm hoping the team plans on Stick in the future, and that he doesn't have to play much the next few years (if at all).

Cardale has stuff you can't coach, but the stuff you can coach hasn't worked. He wasn't all that accurate in college, and that still isn't fixed, and that, and football intelligence, hasn't been evident. Might as well keep him for now, as the roster is not an issue. As far as Stick goes, he does have accuracy, but maybe not as strong of an arm. The whiteboard work he did with Whiz supposedly was good, and he has more game experience than Cardale... its just the level of competition, and also seeing Stick in pressure situations in a pass first offense.
