On one bull rush, he knocked a Cardinal guard backwards precipitously while bull rushing - so he still has the power. He used a couple club moves effectively that i haven't seen from him before, one time chasing Kyle Murray out of the pocket and keeping up with him.

Compact, quicker, & still strong - Charger version of John Randle
        Justin Jones?

Bradley/TT have so reshaped this D, just unrecognizable from just two years ago. Expect more games like the Baltimore game, less like NE. Just effing amazing.

just like Leo, i never grew up hearing people call certain dline positions Leo's. I always heard hes a 1 or 3 technique
LEO and OTTO were new designations for me too. Gus Bradley uses them. LEO for weakside DE (Melvin Ingram), OTTO for SAM/strongside OLB.
                    (Nwosu), WILL, weakside OLB (Davis).

Chargers UDFA impressed HC Anthony Lynn in preseason

Preseason games don't matter when it comes to the win-loss column. Instead, it's a way for players to try to impress the coaching staff enough to be a part of the roster when the games actually matter.

Following Saturday's practice, Chargers coach Anthony Lynn mentioned three players from Thursday's preseason opener against the Cardinals that caught his attention. The group consisted of defensive tackle Justin Jones, running back Justin Jackson and undrafted free agent Roderic Teamer.

"The ball just seems to find this guy. Over the offseason, I think he had five or six interceptions. He's shown a physical presence in practice and in the games, which is really good," Lynn said.

Teamer, a safety out of Tulane, made his statement right out the gate this spring at rookie minicamp and organized team activities. Defensive coordinator Gus Bradley said that Teamer was always around the ball and coveted his instincts.

Teamer carried that momentum into Thursday's matchup, where he played a team-high 44 defensive snaps. He also added 11 snaps on special teams, which was tied for the team high.

The former Tulane product played in 46 games over four seasons, amassing 197 tackles, 15 passes defensed, three interceptions and three sacks. Teamer has special teams experience, posting two blocked kicks.

The 6-foot and 205 pound Teamer boasts an ideal frame for the position. He is a fearless run defender. He is a reliable open-field tackler, delivering solid shots to ball-carriers and wrapping his arms securely. He shows good quickness in coverage, including man-to-man when asked to drop down and cover slot receivers.

The safety group is quite deep but knowing how defensive coordinator Gus Bradley is always looking for playmakers, Teamer has a good shot if continues to show out. If not, he is a strong practice squad candidate who could be called upon to fill in.

                        Yes. Lynn, singled him out.

He was slow out of his stance in college. Much improved now... much more explosive.
