I like him a tough smart back who knows enough to stay in bounds.... can run and catch.....

I agree that no intelligent person would pass on him, but Bengals have done many stupid things over the years and for everything there is a price..... and there are some people out there who still think Tua, or Hebert are as good or better...... some even were projecting Love into the first and even as high as Chargers pick... so anything can happen.... there is hope......

My prediction is that bengals will receive more huge offers for that number one pick than anyone ever has....... so if they choose to keep it and take Burrow, they will have turned down alot of extra picks and or players.....

odds are if they did trade the pick it will be NE or NO who acquire there pick and get burrow......

I'm with ya but the Bengals as I've said before, are a dumb franchise. Never know, maybe they value picks and will grab Herbert... Though the odds are slim, .... It's the Bengals.

CIN is a bad enough team and franchise that they may think they have so many holes to fill and that these QB's are not that much different that they would be willing to trade their pick away for say 2-3 plus first rounders and maybe more picks thrown in.....

I would still do it......we missed out on Elway because colts turned down 3 first round picks from Chargers...... yet sold him to DEN for less..... when you are a bad organization it costs you more to get players.....
No. Eugene Klein refused to include the #5 overall pick. That is why we did not end up with Elway. Jack Elway was forever pissed at the Chargers for this.

Ironically, with Rivers in mind, the version that was provided for public consumption was that it was too soon to get Fouts successor. We missed out on Deshaun because of similar thinking.

Now, we ought to be willing to include the #6 overall pick, #37 overall pick, 2021 #1, 2022 #1 and Joey Bosa. Maybe that would be enough to outbid MIA, JAX and LVR.

I believe TT would do this...John Spanos is the key.

I would take him at #102.

@ #71 is the sweet spot for OL.

Again, swap Ingram for Bosa and that makes it a lot easier..... for me anyways. A lot of pundits and GMs still like Ingram and id love to dump him.

                I like your trade better.
EDGE is loaded this year, also.

                  This would be tricky.
A decision on Rivers will happen in March.
A CIN trade would be finalized in late April.
There may be too many moving parts.

I don’t think TT is the type to even try to pull that off.

Partly true..... Chargers had 3 first rounders in '83 draft...... we offered 2 of those and our first the following year...... so 3 total..... colts wanted all 3 of our picks that year.... but yes Klein was cheap and he eventually sold Chargers to another super cheap owner.....spanos....

The bigger blunder was not selecting Marino with one of our 3 picks after being turned down by colts..... Marino was a younger stroger Fouts..... perfect replacement.....

It is very hard to picture TT pulling this off.

I dream that he will seize this unique moment in Chargers history.

                        Win with flair.

                          I liked Gil Byrd.
I did not like Billy Ray Smith or Gary Anderson.
                          Gawd.
Coryell going crazy over Gary Anderson.
Tom Bass thinking Billy Ray Smith was special.
                          Disasterous.
There was the rumor that Marino liked marching powder.
