Interesting stat there, Jolt. So, actually, if Rivers is all the way down tied for #16 on the most sacked list, same as Garoppolo, wouldn't this be proof that he's actually getting fairly decent pass pro? At least middle of the pack pass pro?

Not really, it shows that running QBs take a lot of sacks, as has always been the case historically.

That was a point I made in the discussions about Taylor - in his career he is sacked at almost twice the percentage than Rivers is, despite being much more mobile. Those extra sacks greatly offset some of the benefit you get from a running QB.

what if dude knows he is not getting it done w/his IDL, albeit he cannot be but true to his NT vets in Square and Mebane, and while on the other hand he has the three Telesco "draft babies" @DT w/Jerry, Justin and Cortez, and.... AL decides he can upgrade his IDLine play and stay true to his vets, by making Tillery inactive.

quite possibly a stroke of genius, as it doesn't really set Tillery back much, save for emotionally perhaps, and.... he's already had his training camp, regular season initiation, and might even benefit from a cold shower/time to regroup.

Sly Williams is also a former first round pick and the real deal on the IDL.... don't recall hearing any complaints from Joey either.

Who can actually see us winning a SB with Lynn? Year 3 of his system and the players are still undisciplined committing bonehead mistakes and penalties. False starts, holding, etc.. seems like it happens to us too often.
