Honestly I could not care less where wanna be, no talent, wish I were a GM projects where players should go. I only care about if players perform. TT does not have a very good track record of players performing well regardless of where said wanna be's say they should be picked. If you pick a player who turns out to be a pro bowler "a round early" is it really a waste of a pick? Of course not.

Understood, but that approach isn’t an honest evaluation of a GM’s drafting ability. There are infinite number of reasons players succeeds of busts that are simply out of reach of the GM.

Stop, just stop. No sane person judges a player as a bust after their rookie year. Anyone who does needs to be laughed at or ignored. A player who spent half the season getting up to speed physically as well. I am not defending Tillary he could well turn out to be a bust but to make that pronouncement this early on ANY pick is just hyperbole in its worst form.

We can most certainly judge them on what we seen and how they perform or lack of performance.The coaching staff is going to judge him and the media is and has so what exactly are we to judge or project a player on FoutsFan? Talent shows up even in spuirts, we can see what a player's potential is , and have seen very little from Tillery that makes me feel good about our 1st round pick, I seen more from Adderly in a small, small sample size all be it pre-season that he has the ability to be a contributor next year I am not so sure about Tillery he may make the jump or he may just be a rotation guy and I don't think the staff views him highly, why would he be inactive and he wasn't on the injury report. I didn't use the word bust but I did say early reports look like a swing and a miss 1st round picks are suppose to make some impact on the team.

Say what you want but I never said I was the judge of talent. I never defended Tilery. I was just pointing out that no sane person claims a pick is a bust or a "swing and a miss" after their rookie season. I understand that in the history of the NFL there has never before been a player that took a year or even two to develop and then play well (who knows maybe Tilery could be the first?) That is why most people who understand football and the draft say you cannot judge a draft until at least three years down the road.

That was mainly off the 2004 trade haul where we got Rivers. Funny that you don't mention his drafts after 2005. A.J Smith was a overrated egomaniac, that was as much responsible for taking the Chargers to new heights. As well as the one to sink so many opportunities with bad pick after bad pick.

The Anthony Waters pick was the comp pick the Chargers got for Drew Brees. That is who we got in compensation for Brees - Anthony Waters.
