OTC has us with 66m left? We have 5 draft picks and still need around 5 starters? Who are we targeting in FA from here….OG, Edge, CB? We have 3 of our best players coming back from Injury that have to step up. Alt, slater, Hampton…these guys have to come back and play better for us to have any chance of building on what we have. The FA moves we have made on paper look like improvements but just like any other year the have to fit the program.
with limited draft ammo, we have to add a few more FA. Who do we have left outside of Allen that was here last year that we can bring back?

      2. Strange plus an Iowa lineman (whom never seem to let you down). Stephens. Strange. Let the two battle it out.
      3. Elgton Jenkins was well-above average guard before Packers pushed him to center
      4. The league is leaning into deploying two, even three tight ends at the same time. Would Gadsden, Kolar and Goedert constitute the richest assembly of Tight End talent in the league?
      5. Burford as swing tackle as he's from SF, knows and fits scheme. 38 starts w/SF.
      6. Brock Hoffman has been solid for Dallas (friends tell me), and can play center + guard.
      7. Dalevon Campbell almost made the roster last year. He's a bigger receiver. If he can shine in ST I promote him from the PS onto my 53.
      8. The seductive skill set of Trey Lance is fun, but I might prefer more of an established/trusted guy if Herbert misses a few games. Thus: Bridgewater.

I think WR Jordyn Tyson or WR Denzel Boston are in play at 22.

But their roster is going to be completely different. If Mendoza is like a Jayden Daniels or Bo Nix rookie, they could from worst .500ish in one season.
They suddenly might be a problem and I preface that not just in the quality of players they just signed but that the staff/HC is legit.
KC lost their entire secondary and will probably lose Chenal today, signing Alohi last night. They still have holes all over.
Denver is loaded. The draft will complete the build out for them.

I’m waiting till Saturday to evaluate his work. As of today, the offense is better than what we fielded vs NE - better FB, better OC, better TE (vs Diss/Fisk). but much of that improvement is just returning IR OTs he didn’t do anything for. OG hasn’t moved much yet.
^ This...I still think we need a solid G in FA and a solid G in the draft...Strange looks to me like purely a depth piece...

Going to hurt to see Gilman in red.

Hard to make a pick like that with the holes at OG and Edge

Doubt we sign Bridgewater or Goedert. Burford played all his snaps last season at LG except for 1 at LT. I prefer Josh Jones as a swing OT....but you know, how much?

the OG from Greenbay should be our number one priority....he is a very good OG

Clearly WR was the priority yesterday the second FA opened. I don’t think their mind set will change.

So after reviewing film MM and other coaches realized that Chargers do not have a reeiver who Herbert can depend on getting open quickly or in clutch situations when Heerbert is under pressure....

I would agree with that, but at same time that is even more reason to fix the fricking OL in FA so we can draft BPA's in draft..... the draft is loaded and deep at WR, DE, DT....and S

Yeah, the fact that they went after Alec Pierce yesterday (along with the QJ trade rumors) were a big surprise for me.
So now... WR has to be a consideration.

Denzel Boston, Jordan Tyson (should be gone by #22), KC Concepcion, and Omar Cooper will be players I have to take a second look at.
Edge can probably be taken in the 2nd round... and IOL could be had in the 3rd round. The 4th round might even include another IOL to compete with Cole Strange at RG (I hope).
                        Protect the QB
                        Run the ball
                        Play great defense

Did WR- Makai Lemon do enough at the combine to fall to pick 22?
