Fluker's problem wasn't his feet. He had feet that were more than quick enough. When you have arms as long and powerful as Fluker, you really don't need very quick feet to play OT.

His biggest problem was he was extremely aggressive and would be beat coming off the line because he would lunge to go get players at the line, instead of relying on his technique and playing the angles. When you lunge at the line, unless you can land square on them, they always have leverage on the OL, and no amount of athletic ability will allow you to recover.

Is anyone watching Hard Knocks? I'm only watching this Lion's pre-season game because of it. Can't help but root for a team like that and then watch the aftermath next week.

I'm going to watch the Niners preseason game v the Packers at 5:30 up here in Nor Cal. Trey Lance is going to start the game I believe. Stories are coming out now about why the Niners were so adamant about moving on from Jimmy GQ. Apparently, season's end he had a habit of disappearing and not being in contact with the team, not returning texts or phone calls. He became a ghost. This started, apparently, right after the 49ers game him that huge contract in 2018, he apparently vanished for weeks after that. And it became routine every off-season, apparently.

I disagree. Not that i care about Fluker anymore but his feet were a problem both in pass pro and, after moving to OG, whenever he tried to pull.

Lance was not very impressive on the 1st drive. Off the mark on throws. Hesitant to throw downfield. Quick to tuck it and run.

Jordan Love didn’t look good for the Packers at first, but on 4th & 2 he throws a TD pass.

Trey Lance was looking like a 7th rd pick on the bubble, then on 3rd & 9 uncorked a deep shot that went for a 76 yd TD to their young 4.3 WR.

Looks like Jets QB Zack Wilson may have a torn ACL.
Yet another reason not to play your important starting players in PS.

If it is an ACL, Jimmy GQ could a Jet by tomorrow, unless they decide to go with Old Joe "4th & 29" Flacco. Mike LaFleur, the Jets' OC, was Garoppolo's passing game coordinator in SF, and of course Jets' HC Robert Saleh was the Niners' DC while Jimmy GQ was the QB in SF.

Mcdanals will call a lot quick hitting pass plays mixed in with runs just like in NE. The key will be getting them into long passing situations then mackbosa can go to work…

What a bummer, was rooting for this kid to build on last year…
