Contrary to your prediction, Rivers did have better seasons in both 2017 and 2018 than he did in 2016. He was an MVP candidate in 2018. He has been a Hall of Fame caliber player despite having below average pass protection for the past 12 seasons. There is zero evidence of decline from Rivers, but there is tons of evidence of declining/crappy OL play.

Had the Chargers drafted Watson, he would have sat for three seasons of a four year contract.

You should have been roasted on forum boards for your take concerning Rivers. It turned out to be completely wrong.

Similarly, your take on Burrow is completely wrong. He is not even worth a top half of the first round draft pick. Trevor Lawrence is the only QB yet to enter the draft that is worth the kind of draft capital you are describing. No other QB comes even close.
Wow. Your version of wrong is Interesting.
Burrow not worth a top 15 pick?

    Im okay being wrong.
    Predictions.

    1. Burrow becomes an all pro QB.

    2. Rivers may retire.
And if he does play in 2020-2021 he won't win anything.

    3. Lawrence has an up and down career until he develops as a passer.

      Prediction
3a. Lawrence refines his craft in his Junior year and storms the league in 2021 as ROY.

I am completely disgusted that the organization wasted what a Hall of Fame caliber QB brought to the table. Hall of Fame caliber QBs like Rivers do not grow on trees.
Where are you finding the o-line finish 30th and 31st.
        I can find it?
What i am finding is they were ranked all over from 12th to 29th. So all over the place depending on which source.

They look average to me on gameday.
I did not see awful. And the consensus based on all sources is that the o line was average or sub par but not horrible.

I really hope Rivers goes to the Colts. I want to see how he plays behind what is considered a great oline. He doesn't always play with great poise. Regardless of oline.

          2. My prediction is Rivers will win, at least go 1-15 but more than likely better than that no matter which team he's on, this will be like when Peyton went to Denver.

And just like when Brees was struggling here, some will ignore why a player struggles. Any QB tossing 20 picks kills his team. But if you don't look at the entire picture and instead focus on one piece of it, you don't get a clear view of what really happened.

We have moved on so let's see who we end up with, whether we actually field an even average offensive line and what the results are. I suspect people will be surprised at how many warts Rivers covered up, even with the 20 picks.

Or we may be suprised in a different way.

                  Rivers game has flaws.
                  QB sneak.
                  Bootleg.
                  Rollout
                  Sprint out.
                  Outside zone bootleg.
                  Late game questionable throws.
Can not buy time and extend play.

It certainly puts a ton of pressure on o line when you have to protect a statue who cannot do any effective movement to open up the game. I thought they did better than getting credit for.

Rivers really needs to go to the Colts so the excuses can stop.

                      I've got predictions too.

                      1. Burrow is an average QB in the NFL and in 3 years the bengals still don't make the playoffs and don't even get above 6 wins. In fact I predict FROMM has a much better career.

                      2. On this we agree

                      3. I'm often surprised how often posters compare Lawrence who just turned 20 two months ago to Burrow, a 5th year senior. Lawrence will be amazing in the NFL.

In 2019, Rivers had his worst ratio TD/INT of all his career (23-20)
His QB rate is one of the 2 worst in 12 years (88.5)
If you think is the OL'fault, you're wrong.
The OL of 2012 and 2015 gave 49 and 40 sacks. The ratio TD/INT was not so bad (26-15 and 29-13)
