And yeah, their 3rd WR would have had a hard time beating out Benjamin's sorry ass. Their top 2 receivers were Clay with 558 and Shady with 448, barely cracking 1k combined. :facepalm1:
OL was the only place where they were good that year.

This was when Tyrod was viable.
Ekeler- ??
we also know TT always gets fixed on one player when we have A Position Of Need and best Player is needed. Maybe Lynn and Saban can become buddy’s.

Second game against the Saints. Team that was one non-call away from making the SB.
246 yards 73.3% cmp 1 td 1 int. Sacked 3 times. 4 rush 26 yards. Looks like he bounced back. They lost by a FG.
Third game against the lowly Jets. You really gonna count this against him? He only played a bit and got injured. Who knows how the rest of the game would have played out?
19 yards 28.6% cmp 0 td 0 int. Sacked 3 times. 4 rushed 22 yards.
Keep in mind, this is an offense tailored for Mayfield.
This is often the issue with running quarterbacks.
Their sack number is high as they often "run into sacks" because their lineman don't know where they are. And as they running around, they get hurt.

What if TT calls 31 teams bluffs
and stays at #6.
---Tua.
---Isaiah.
---Several OTs
On the board.
This may be what happens.
Who you got ? Tua ?
I am thinking that this may be our scenario.
As much as I like Tua,
the lack of intel and medical reports,
might make trading up,
or even taking Tua @ #6,
a dicey proposition.
There is plenty to be said for getting a Derwin-Isaiah superD,
or going for a sure thing OT.We do not play modern football.

They’ll have the MRIs on Tua, if they like what they see I would imagine that’s the pick.
Really loving the thought of Simmons on this D. That said we seem to draft good college LBs and make them not so good somehow. I think Simmons doing super for us would also be predicated on all the roll players on D doing their jobs...which is a dicey thing IMHO. Does that make Tua the safer pick? I dunno, this draft can’t cone soon enough.
