No doubt the ribs were an issue for him throughout the remainder of the season. We NEED to have a decent backup QB and at least a league average defense so the next time JH gets nicked up we can afford to let him miss a game (or 3) and recover without the season going down the toilet. If I'm not mistaken the Jags game was the 1st game after the game where he was injured, and he played poorly (by his standards), and we got rolled.

In the long run IMO we would have benefitted from letting him sit for a week or so (plus the bye) so as to take the sting out of the injury somewhat, but because we didn't have anything remotely like a competent backup QB we had no choice but to run him out there - hurt or not. I'd prefer to have better options the next time he strains a hamstring, or rolls an ankle, or gets a concussion, etc, etc.

Clearly the team brass doesn't share my concerns . . . . . . .

I’m no doctor but everything I’ve read says sitting a game or 3 wouldn’t have made any difference. Agree we need a backup that can play football though. Duggan may be the guy, how about we let him play a PS game?

I didn't think he said anything bad. Some fans just get upset at little things
Like they don't like our players talking and laughing with opponents after a loss and want them to be pissed off.

It's a game man and they are human beings. It just don't work that way.

I don't see how anyone can watch this and think Keenan is saying anything negative about Herbert. If anything, seems more a shot at Lombo.

He blocked me, too! For the record, TPB has run much smoother since. Friendship is a 2-way street.
