Getting a better running back next to Ek would be nice - I just want other areas focused on. Even Special Teams.
I am not ready to give up on Kelly and Ballage is kind of showing why he has bounced around the league
    True sorta.
But Jackson is Always hurt so why bring him back? He is never available.
And Ballage just isn't anything special and if Ekeler goes down, I want a better RB.
We should do a committee anyways as he shouldn't be pulling the load weekly.

And there is no guarantee we are getting a big upgrade on the OL.
    We been wishing for years.

We have nine picks and FAcy. I'm drafting a RB.

BUT, the problem is that NONE of our current running backs is a starting quality FT every down RB, who can run, catch, block, and is durable enough to actually count on him..... we have a stable of small injury prone guys..... we need a back like Najee Harris to be our every down starter..... he has the size and power to get one yard on 3rd or 4th down or goal line(most important quality of a RB)....... and he catches like a WR....
I like him too but he will be a second rounder.. If he is still there and that should be for a OT and Edge rusher.

      But, what our FO does,....
      who knows.

        Latest Nutty Mock:

        1st: OT Alex Leatherwood
        2nd: DE Patrick Jones II
        3rd: LB Chazz Surratt
        3rd: CB Elijah Molden
        4th: RB Kenneth Gainwell
        5th IOL Jarrett Patterson
        6th RB CJ Verdell
        6th WR Emeka Emezie
        7th DL Neil Farrell Jr

Cutting some of the fat contracts we have and spending that FA money on OL and CB p[ositions... plus re-signing a number of our own.

Interest mock on CBS. 5 QBs and 3 OTs in top 9 picks.
Now, if you excuse me, I have some Charger memories to suppress.

            Key Cuts / Trades
Casey Hayward ($8.75) - traded to Jags for pick 152 (round 5)

            1) CALEB FARLEY - CB - VT - RJR - 6’2” / 207#
#1 CB omb, fast, insane acceleration, elite ball skills, only 3 yrs as CB (former WR), peddle/plant/break elite level, disruptive hands in press, throws off route timing, susceptible to double moves but has recovery speed/burst to compensate, oily hips make speed turns look too damn smooth, explosive athlete that challenges 50/50 balls, plays with a chip/attitude
            2) WALKER LITTLE - OT - STAN - SR - 6’7” / 320#
Big, physical, high football IQ, strong, powerful people mover, excellent footwork, punch timing is solid, location of proper hand placement needs consistency, powerful grip strength, hip torque allows to toss/uproot defenders, nasty finisher that loves driving opponents into the grass, devastating down blocker, easy mover to 2nd/3rd levels, move skills allow to make scoop/pulls/fold/screen blocks, needs better timing on inside powerstep to shutdown inside moves
            3A) JORDAN SMITH - DE - UAB - RJR - 6’7” / 255#
Finisher, plays in opponents backfield, physically imposing and plays with a knarly physicality, huge tackling radius, strong @ POA, amazing flexibility and bend, length for days, converts S2P, arsenal of PR moves (swim/slap-dip-rip, 2 arm swipe, 1-arm post, outside speed burst, strong leveraged bull), can rush from anywhere, length helps disengagement skills, run game deconstruction is still in process
            3B) MYRON CUNNINGHAM - OT/OG - UAR - SR - 6’7” / 325# - (TC)
JUCO transfer, physically overpowering at times in 2020 (really showed improvement from 2019 with the added 25# of muscle), decent agility, powerful viselike grip strength, hands on play is over for opponent, 1sack allowed in past 2 seasons, solid stunt recognition, easy mover to 2nd level, creates rowdy impact movement @POA, plays thru whistle, needs time @ OG before sliding out to OT
            4) DAYO ODEYINGBO - DE - VANDY - SR - 6’6” / 276# - (TC)
Long, powerful, excellent flexibility allows to bend arc, high ceiling, disrupts running plays with great leverage, length allows him to disengage and beat soft pass sets, heavy but inaccurate hand strikes, improved his play every year, holds ground @POA in run game, excellent closing burst, huge tackling radius, kid has a high ceiling but 2-3 years before we see the complete package
            5A) TONY POLJAN - TE - UVA - RSR - 6’7” / 265#
Grad transfer and former QB, only has 4 years as a TE, huge improvements from Y2Y, excellent hands, adequate blocker but technique is a work in progress, high motor, developing route tree, physical YAC runner, redzone weapon, chain mover,
            5B) RHAMONDRE STEVENSON - RB - OKU - SR - 6’ / 246#
JUCO transfer, big back that will run you over or make you miss, limited playing time, excellent vision, dynamic cutting ability, solid in passpro, identifies blitzers early and squares them up, physical powerful runner with 4.5 speed, excellent hands, suspended for first 5 games of 2020 so off-field/personality concerns, should have fresh legs and limited damage to his body, ST Ace
            6A) DIVINE DEABLO - DS/DLB - VT - RSR - 6’3” / 225# - (TC)
Smart/savvy player that is mentally ahead of most prospects, excellent H/W/S combo, big physical playmaker, position versatility (DLB/SS/FS/NCB), added coverage chops for 3rd down, tremendous length, very good ballskills, diagnostic skills are elite, always around ball, plays with passion, sure tackler with big tackling radius, ST Ace
            6B) MIKE STRACHAN - WR - CHARLESTON (WV) - SR - 6’5” / 225# - (TC)
NFL bloodline, football/track combo athlete, huge catch radius, SPEED (Olympic caliber sprinter), big/soft hands that he uses to catch the ball away from his body, monster vertical to high point contested balls, my ball attitude, physical, dominated lower level competition, will be a HUGE step up in competition, ST Ace
            7) DAN MOORE JR - OG - TAMU - SR - 6’5” / 315# - (TC)
3 yr start @OLT, no sacks allowed in 2020, excellent vertical mover, good lateral agility, mirroring skills greatly improved from 19 to 20, excellent sort sets, phenomenal grip strength, people mover @POA, punch placement is wildly inconsistent, physical/nasty finisher

So after watching VT vs. Boston, Virginia, and Wake Forrest, I was kinda disappointed in Darrisaw...but I see he keeps popping up in first round conversation, so I watched the Miami game...

Could not have been more unimpressed. How the hell is this guy buzzing so hard...he looks like a pro OT standing around, and that's about it.

Anybody who is a fan of Darrisaw, do yourself a favor, and watch the Miami game...the whole thing, and fast forward thru the Canes possessions. You will be shocked how lazy this guy is at times, and how ho-hum he plays. I just don't get the hype.

I wouldn't spend a first or second on this guy...and really don't want him on the team, period.
                Adopted Bolt: Kimani Vidal RB

Final prediction: Latham OT, Colson LB, Sainristil CB,Rice WR, Zinter OG, Nourzad OC, MacLachlan TE, Vidal RB, Lovett DT

Watched a few games again on Cosmi...I like what I am seeing...good pass pro, ok run blocking power, but A+ effort...makes mistakes now and then, but he is a player, and a good prospect overall. I wouldn't reach past Chase, Waddle, or Pitts...or blue chip defenders...just so I can say we got an OT...but if we win ourselves into the teens, and the blue chippers are gone, or if we trade back, I could get behind picking this kid up.

                  Lone Bolt's OT rankings

                  1. Penei Sewell- No need to say anything Round 1
                  2. Rashawn Slater- If his length gets exposed in the pros, he has pro bowl guard written all over him Round 1
                  3. Sam Cosmi- I like his pass pro a lot, I think he is a solid addition and eventual upgrade over anything we got Round 1/2
                  4. Walker Little- I like what he was supposed to become, and his 18' tape looks good...if he has been working hard, he could be somebody's big steal this year. Rpund 2
                  5. Dillon Radunz- Gotta see him hold up in Senior Bowl against power 5 conference guys....but he looks as good as anybody but Sewell on tape, technique wise. Round 2/3
                  6. Alex Leatherwood- Really is a sloppy player, but he does play his balls off. Looks like an NFL tackle, but needs some fixes in his game. Round 2/3
                  7. Jaylen Mayfield- Heavy footed, but good player...RT material Round 3
                  8. Christian Darrisaw- Shows flashes, and measures up nice, but somebody needs to light a fire under this kids ass...quits on plays early A LOT...but there is good clay there. Round 3
                  9. Liam Eichenberg- Solid player, polished, relieable, and safe pick...but is he peaked out athletically? Another RT at best. Round 3
                  Adopted Bolt: Kimani Vidal RB

Final prediction: Latham OT, Colson LB, Sainristil CB,Rice WR, Zinter OG, Nourzad OC, MacLachlan TE, Vidal RB, Lovett DT

I used two different simulators and went BPA considering needs but mostly considering BPA getting talent over needs sometime plunking the player at the top of the player pool if i liked him.

These two different simulators in the rankings are different, so if I knew them i picked a player ranked a little lower in the the simulator ranks that I liked better than some other guys ahead of them from me liking them better or I'm not familiar with them all.

FIRST one has a trade down shown in the attachment. Couldnt get this to work the way i wanted on Mobile....as usual....and i couldnt post all the picks but this is good enough.
Older guys like me, ...click on attachment on the other one to make it bigger to see.

Note: Simulator one offers trades, Simulator two does not. I have to offer trades.
