Washington loss hurt. They were so close to a win and Smith played well. It's a good thing they'll be in the running for a QB and not BPA

I know Sewell would be the right pick but I think Herbert needs protection now. Get an o-lineman in FA, trade down, and get a defender. I sense Derwin James could be the next JAson Verett-lots of talent but can not stay healthy. A corner might be the way to go. A couple of the mock drafts like the corner from OSU, Shaun Wade or the CB from VA Tech,Farley, who opted out. I think the Giants will take Sewell whereas a couple of the better corners could be around in the middle of the first round.

Someone trading up for a franchise QB would have to give us multiple high draft picks,
then we get Sewell.

The Giants won today does that help?

Yes. The Giants would now pick after us. Tankathon shows us at #5 overall based upon the SOS of the full 16 game schedule. ESPN has different SOS numbers, which would also put Dallas behind us as we caught them in losses due to their bye today. I think they are using just the opponents to date and not for all 16 games. But per ESPN's SOS numbers, we would be drafting 4th overall for the moment.
