either way, you're going to over-draft or trade up so you might as well target an elite prospect
and have a plan for how to get him without giving up too much, last minute.
it's contrary to where anyone would WANT to be in, but this is the situation we find ourselves
as a natural consequence of failing to acquire/develop sufficient play at the OL positions
I think i'm being realistic, and that's not meshing with this time of "possibilities" with seniorbowl coming up
and it sure doesn't help when you play these draft simulator games and end up being the greatest GM ever haha
bite the goddamn bullet and find 1 foundational piece just one!
the OL will likely take 2 or 3 off-seasons before it's anywhere close to "good"
but can we at least move it towards "not a liability"?
I'll get off my horn about this for now, just don't be too terribly upset if TT sees it the way I do
and gives up the farm to trade up for a Slater or god forbid, Sewell.
a franchise LT is almost priceless, I don't give a shit about next years first and second if Herbert has a foundational piece
he can depend on for the next decade, not one tiny shite.
If TT does see's it that way then great. Im just saying it isnt the end of the world if we dont get a LT in round 1. This draft will be a little different so those that may raise to round one may be around in round two with no workouts coming.

I know some say the workouts mean nothing but then why are they all there taking notes with their own stopwatches? lol I think they care if even a OL runs a very slow 10 yard time or even a 40 slow as molasses time ,......or has a bad 3 cone time. Gotta get to the next level. Its going to be a different draft.

However id be very shocked if TT trades the farm to get Slater. This may be the draft he actually trades down if Sewell and Slater and the CBs are gone.

We need another RB, unless everyone thinks Joshua Kelly will come back bigger and better. Ekeler would be so much better if he was used in situations and in punt and kick off returns. Who knows what our new HC will do in the running game.

Top edge rushers? Like Roche? He was good at Temple, only decent at Miami, where he wasnt even the best edge guy on his own team....Basham? He is an edge setter who relies on a bullrush using his raw power, which plays to Darrisaws strength...I wont fault his anchor....

Dont just read the lazy pundits who copy each other...just pop open a six pack, start up youtube, and watch 3 games each of Darrisaw, Cosmi, and Eich, and tell me if ANY of them seperate from the other 2. You dont have to watch whole games, just search "virginia tech oline vs" and you will just get the offensive snaps, for example...I encourage anybody and everybody...
        Adopted Bolt: Kimani Vidal RB

Final prediction: Latham OT, Colson LB, Sainristil CB,Rice WR, Zinter OG, Nourzad OC, MacLachlan TE, Vidal RB, Lovett DT

He hasn't played in almost 2 years. That's a long layoff. Just look at what missing time and an injury did to Lamp.

Darrisaw I think is fine pick at #13. Go get your guy. Thomas, Wills, Becton, and Wirfs were all 13 and sooner. Darrisaw might not be in that class, but better than Bolles (20) or Kolton Miller (15).

For Darrisaw 10 is the earliest for me. With the talent ahead of him. Someone will take him in round 1.
For Little 29 is the earliest I think he could go. Likely a round 2 guy who could slip to round 3.
For Sarell maybe 94 at the earliest. Just a bit higher than Spencer Brown, maybe.
But for the scouts that think Sarrell could go before Little, it'd have to be early round 3, which would make it mid 60's earliest, and then Little.

I read somewhere that C. Darrisaw is the 5th best OL in the next draft.
According to D. Jeremiah, he is the 28th top prospect.
The best I saw for him is he could be the 18th pick by MIA.

If this year's 2nd round OT's are better than our current ones......Trade down to late first? Get more 2nd round picks?

That's what I'm thinking...I mean if we draft 4 olinemen in the draft and even trading down to get another second rounder would be good. A successful draft would be getting 3 out 4 players that actually improve our oline and make it much more stable...

So far, the top OT prospect from a few draftniks, ranked in order of big board, are:

                  Jeremiah
                  6. Slater
                  10. Sewell
                  14. AVT

                  48. Radunz
                  49. Eich

Interesting that Cosmi, Little and Leatherwood didn't even make it into his top 50.

Since our 2nd rounder is #47, you can guess most, if not all, of these guys will be taken before us. We have to get “our” guy in the first.
Now, if you excuse me, I have some Charger memories to suppress.

I like the Draft Network scenario.
                          R. Slater or M. Parsons ?
I don't think it will arrive.
