Let me get this straight....multiple posters have referred to Popper's mock as a doomsday scenario...having to choose from prospects like JOK, Parsons, Moehrig, Phillips, AVT....the best coverage LB, the best rush LB, the best safety, best Edge, best guard....in this draft class...that's a doomsday scenario...cuz you didn't get fucking Darrisaw? Maybe I'm watching the "wrong" film but AVT is covered by a TE an awful lot for an air raid offense. He sets and punches like a guard.

If picking a guard is OK at 13, Fluker really wasn't such a bad pick at 11.

I am not blown away by AVT at guard.
I think that should be the criteria if you pick him that early.

I see Jenkins as a solid OT3 choice in this draft. A nasty attitude NEVER hurt an O lineman. Why go guard? Read the bio's of OT5 - 15 on any board and most will say "needs to be moved inside." Guards are common and nasty tackles are not.

Just my 2 cents.

I’m starting to really like the idea of Avery Williams and Ben Mason at 6B and 7. Would definitely help the transformation of our ST unit. Williams is a true return specialist, both punts and kicks. Think Joe Reed may challenge him on KR, but it’d be nice to have a real punt returner for once.

Mason’s just a beastly dude who always shows A+ effort and loves blasting fools.

Anyways, getting Avery and Mason in the draft (in addition to already adding Ryan Smith and Fackrell in FA) would go a long way towards boosting our ST unit.

The new ST coach should help too.

It’d be good to feel excitement instead of dread on that side of the ball.
