It will be interesting to see how far down the board he goes.

I'd imagine teams that recently drafted a LT and are starting that player won't be using a 1st or 2nd on Little.

If he isn't drafted in Rd1.
Seems like the Bengals would be the 1st team in rd 2 that could pick him.
If they don’t pick Sewell they are fools. Their rookie franchise got destroyed. He’s Munoz 2.0.

Why would any team take any, OLT (Sewell the exception), if they have a quality starter there under contract for multiple years in early round 1?
We can always make a sig bet as the draft approaches.

You confident Sewell is there at #5
Who has it better than us?

          Jonah would be an ORT.
As stated Penei is the exception. He makes the All-Pro team in rook or sophomore season.

I have Jonah as Bengals OLT.
Daniel Faalele, now that's a Right Tackle.
Clearly Sewell will fall to @ #13.

He certainly is an ORT in 2022/23.

If we draft several good OL prospects, how does that help us NOW ?

We need a plug n play, a mid round nugget, and a solid UFA.

Most of these Olinemen are not ready yet, and that does nothing for Herb in 2021.

Agree that we shouldn’t try to replace the whole o-line through the draft. Like you said, one high round guy, a mid-rounder, and a priority FA seems about right.

Do you think this year’s class is better or worse in terms of overall OL talent?

Seems like last years had a ton of good guard nuggets. I counted 10 that made it into starting lineups. Many played really well. Most were 4th-6th rounders.

Tackles were better at the high end last year, but this year seems to have a ton more depth.
Our quarterback is a golden god.

I think Rashawn Slater is as good as Tristan Wirfs. He is highest on my wish list. Then AVT, although @ #13 may be a little too early. Darrisaw/Cosmi are not clean enough IMV. We are all in a similar place on assessment.

Then there's Staley defensive concepts, with the importance of Safety play in Two High. We need a boundary Corner, but Surtain II and Farley are gonna be gone, man. How about Son of Joe Horn ?

Build it back to front. That figures. I've been Iooking hard at the Front Seven--giving Joey/Kenneth some help.

                      Current Round 1 Clusta...
                      --Rayshawn Slater.
                      --Jaycee Horn.
                      --Alijah Vera-Tucker.

                      Mid rounds to be continued.
I have some definite ideas, but it is quite fluid.

Similar indeed. But I’ve got AVT before Horn. I’m very comfortable with a mid-1st round grade on AVT.

There’ll be some boundary corners later.

I think Stokes will be gone before our 2nd. Frankly, I like him as much as Horn. They’re different types—horn’s more physical and a much better tackler; Stokes is faster and a better technician. But I also like Newsome, Campbell, Adebo, Williams, Thomas, and Taylor.

                          That's a lot of Corners.
                          We need a good one.
Ha. Maybe Horn reminds you too much of Jammer.
I do like Sassy Lil' Asante.
But round two is OL/S for me.
It's time for a further look at DBs
