Totally disagree. The Rams defense was the deciding unit in that game and if the Rams hadn't been able to score on that last drive, the Bengal's defense would have been the reason for their win. Good defense still wins the big games.

Probably the wrong day for this take. Both defenses played better than their offensive counterparts yesterday. Bengals are likely held to 13 points without that missed call. They got the ball on the Rams 30 on the ensuing play and only got a fg out of it. Rams d won that game

Both offenses won/lost some in-game battles. Ultimately a defense wins the war for a team by winning even just 1 more of said battles.

The totality of all those battles led to that final battle which was indeed concluded by a defensive Donald sack on Burrow.

60 minutes, it takes an all team effort to win games. So picking a side to do it all, in today’s NFL, with rules geared for offense, is just a matter of opinion.

Both running games were weak. The running game sinks further into history. Get your qb and throw the ball.
Now, if you excuse me, I have some Charger memories to suppress.

I agree, the best defense usually wins. Great offense only dominates if the other guy can't score. If they can, it's a shoot out and sooner or later a defense makes a great play.

Its fair to say the key difference in QBs yesterday was the difference in pressure and sacks. Poor Joe didn’t have much of a chance.

So … RT or DL? Hmmm. I’m back in the trench, baby!!!

Mixon had 72 yards rushing averaging 4.8 per carry. Rams had next to nada.

Defense wins championships and 7 sacks did it.

Unless you build a stout O line to protect an amazing QB like Herbert.Then....

Bengals blew it on 3rd and 1 at the 49 yard line by running Mixon’s back up. That was just dumb. 4th and 1 call not much better

                          Aaron Donald 6" offside.
