Not sure why we would draft a WR at #13. Kinda mind boggling.
Agree. This is the year for foundational building blocks. 2022 is the year for luxury picks.
Our quarterback is a golden god.

I just don't think using the #13 pick for any position other than OT or CB is good for the team. I know I'd love watching Weddle but it's a luxury pick and we have too many needs to be picking a WR in round one.

I like the rest of his picks though - which doesn't mean much because I haven't really studied this year.
        THE YEAR OF THE FLIP!

Thats the way I am viewing this draft. Solidify OL (that means two if not three selections of the current 9); adding probably two DBs, one a starting caliber CB; Edge, and TE. For me thats 7 of the 9 picks.

“The first-round pick is a bit surprising for me. And that is nothing against Waddle, who is undoubtedly one of the top offensive playmakers available in this draft. He would make the Charges better. He would make any team better with his explosive traits. But the Chargers have much more pressing needs outside of wide receiver on both sides of the ball. Waddle would come in as the third receiver behind Keenan Allen and Mike Williams. Jalen Guyton and Tyron Johnson both showed enough last season for the Chargers to be comfortable with either player as their WR3. Waddle would be a luxury pick. And the Chargers are not in a position to make a luxury pick with this first-rounder.”
But, but, he may be somebody’s BPA.
Now, if you excuse me, I have some Charger memories to suppress.

                  Greg Cosell.
All he does is study tape.
                  Like Brugler.
                  Unlike Popper.
Waddell will leave the speediest NFL defenders in the dust.
                  Think Tyreek.

I don’t question the quality of any potential players at13. I just say TT must stop his failures in building a competent OL. WR has never been a problem spot with this team for as long as I can remember.

Waddle may be one of the few opportunities for the mythical trade down.

I really like this draft. I would include Darrisaw as fairly equivalent to Jenkins

If two of the top OL are available at #13, Spanos should probably veto the one Telesco wants and take the other guy.
