The one thing that Telesco really has never drafted for is speed.

Henry, GOrdon, Williams, Allen - thats a lot of high draft capital and not much speed

I don't see us going WR early unless MW signs elsewhere.
Lombo's offense places more of a premium on precision routing than pure speed.
I don't remember any burners on the Saints recently.

I think they pass on Jameson Williams

Perryman can only be saved in coverage by a strong, consistent pass rush.

Philon, King had character issues as Chargers.
        Some here wanted Ingram retained.
Any discussion immediately would run into the 'he should never have gotten that huge contract crowd'.

Big mistakes on D by Telesco/Staley in the offseason.

Fortunately, KC will no longer be able to afford him at season's end.

It shouldn’t be that hard for Lombo to incorporate a simple crossing route for a burner. Maybe add a little pick and he can take it to the house

He didn't make much money this season for Pitt or KC as it was. I think under $4m

and it really doesn't matter if they can afford him or not if they win Sunday
that would be Three Super Bowls in a row
            which is the objective

            KC is doing something right

The Rams pushed all the chips in and they host the game Sunday to get to the Super Bowl - second one in four years I believe
Chiefs are looking for third in a row

Maybe there is something to be said for pushing the envelope on the cap and also having a competent front office

And burning 1rst/2nd round picks on key vet additions...something both clubs have done.

              Giving up a 1rst rounder here would be a very, very dark day for draftniks;

and a very, very dark day for Telesco, whose perceived drafting acumen would then depend on his day 2 - 3 picks.

Mel was soft and blubbery at the end of his Charger days.

Sometimes it's just time to move on.

If anything, the Chargers are too wooden in personnel decisions of all types.
We do not play modern football.

Ingram on the Chefs kind of reminds me of Seau on the Patriots...just enough gas left in the tank to make a few key plays here and there...but still close to retirement...

Sure. Like Rodney, Adrian Phillips, Perryman, Heyward and Ingram. Ingram had a sack fumble and blew up another play with a Reggie White slam of the OL. If Bosa made those 2 plays everybody would be singing his praises.

Ingram missed the tackle on that "blowup" and Allen got away. If Bosa did that you would be complaining and likely did about Mel when we had him. Now you praise him lol.

In my judgement, Mel was done as a Chargers.

Re the others, case by case.

You’re confusing plays. The blow up was the failed screen.
