I think teams with slinger QBs.....will be headed that direction. And we have a slinger. The idea excites me....but i cant imagine Staley not feeling gross about his D last year. One of the worst we have fielded in a while.

I do expect premium in round 1. Edge/CB sort of vibe. But im pretty much banging trenches as usual. Because they tend to kill us every year. And the players lined up behind them. Edge/DT/OL im fine with.
What we’ve undertaken here and what’s ongoing is just establishing our way of playing from a personnel standpoint,” Staley said of his defense. “This offseason will allow us to look the way that we want to look.”

Staley also understands, adding premium speed and big time playmaker ability, they currently don’t have on this roster, is something Herbert would really exploit that defenses would have to respect. That by definition is how they want to play and look, both sides of ball. Now for right side protection, don’t have answer, maybe free agency or day two of draft?

Lets see today how the offensive lineman test out. Very interested to see how Abraham Lucas does, targeting him second round.

Staley will want a CB, IMO.

MW made nice progress last year in Lombardi's offense. I expect him to be even better next year (85/1300/12). If he doesn't get signed long term, he'll get tagged.
The Chargers will draft a WR... I just doubt it will be a 1st rounder. The draft is really deep @WR.

If any of the top-5 CB's are there @#17... that's where TT/Staley go, IMO.

      Protect the QB
      Run the ball
      Play great defense

Im not opposed as i know where the league is headed. Just a hunch that we go D in round 1. The thought of MW/KA/GW excites me. I like Wilson as i think he has an insane skillset as it pertains to routes and catch confidence/arrogance. He has a little Justin Jefferson in him as far as confidence goes. Just a baller and i think because of his routes and ability to separate despite not being huge makes him a potential complete WR if we lose MW down the road. Assuming if MW is on the roster with a tag. If he is tagged im definitely putting WR in the mix. Feeling it for sure. But until then....ill stay in my alert posture regarding predictions. lol

        Cheers

Solid assessment and i agree. Good draft for bigger WRs also.

All guys who can go in that range. We should have a stud sitting there for us.
Every time someone takes a QB before our pick at 17, I'll give a hallelujah with a shot chaser.

FYI, your comparison to Justin Jefferson is also shared by Daniel Jeremiah, your in good company.

Routes and attitude. Dude just lives to beat guys. Plays with a chip. There are some guys in this draft that many like...you watch them on film go up for contested catches...and are like 12 inches off the ground. I want someone who can really get up there. From Rivers to Herbert...we do tend to use the jump ball alot. Catch radius and leaps are essential.

Wilson upgrades Guyton big time. Burks on the other hand does what i think Joe Reed was expected to do. Kind of a Deebo roll. Without the leaps and open field prowess. He is more of a straight line runner.

Burks and Wilson are different spots in this offense imo. Both would be great for sweeps and end arounds etc. I just think Wilson compliments our offense and can do that Sanders/Harris combo roll that the Saints were doing.

I only like Olave better because he is a exceptional route runner and has had success sooner.
Either one after Jameson and Burks. Don't think we are going WR but you never know.

No way in hell Wilson is there #17.

Olave is better than 50/50 chance he’s still on the board.

Would be willing to be patient for payoff with Jameson Williams.
