Here is his take on Fuaga. Take a look-see around the 4:00 mark. This is what Fuaga does better than any OT in the entire draft.
Pipkins doesn't even come close to this type of movement skill @the 2nd level.

My feeling though is that WRs aren't great #1 picks as they always get jacked up and hurt ie MW but would be ok if they handle their reps and use well - ie n less crazy jump balls were they get all jacked up.
And rightfully so.
I will embrace whoever we end up with.
The Chargers are at a fateful fork in the road.We play modern Harball.

Perfect fit.
Natural position is ORT.
Team Interviews are off the charts.
This guy lives the game of football.
If I stay @#5... Joe Alt is the guy (you were all over this early)... because he's so well-rounded.
Your favorite evaluator (Thorn) likes Alt (#1 OT prospect).Protect the QB

On game tape, Alt showed great improvement in striking power.
There were some huge holes.

We will eventually have both depth and well priced elite talent, but I don't see Jimbo putting the horse before the cart.
Sidebar. It's actually 59 years of hanging in for me and for you too, Sir.
Sidebar #2. When you stated "don't @ me !" that was a trope, like "You don't know ball."
I did not know that.
But the 9ers and Eagles both got to the big game and had ample chances to win.
Let's get there

But if we are doing just overall risk, there is some survivor bias in there. The non premium positions have a higher hit rate because you have to be an Uber prospect to be taken there. Example, a team may take a WR with a second round grade in the mid to late 1st if they have big upside like Johnston because if you hit the reward is a cheap great player at an impact position. A team isn't taking an OG or DT in the mid to late first if they don't have a 1st round grade on them.
It's not a meaningless stat, if you are deciding between a guy at a premium position you have a lower grade on vs a higher grade at a less risky position, maybe that's a good route breaker. But when you're looking at a higher graded player at a premium position then I think the team should go in that direction.
IMO the top 3 WRs are 3 of the 4 highest graded players in this class. Bowers is also graded highly, but TE isn't a premium position and is risky in the first round.
