Agree about Center in the 2nd round unless they sign on in Free agency or take JPJ in Round 1

Gamesmenship pre-Free Agency then the Draft, 2 tenets resonate with me. 1^st “Protect Herbert”, 2^nd Invest in BPA. 2 months until draft to work the Cap, evaluate existing players, sign FAs, etc. Come draft determine potential trade partners. Lots of smoke and magic.

Tenets inform me at #5 it is Bowers or Best Tackle versus the field. If Harbs-Horitz do not covet a specific tackle over all others, find trade partners and address other areas of the O-line as other suggest.

I'm leaning OT @#5 and center in Round 2. Then build the defense in rounds 3-5.
If we get a good haul via trade back... then do it. Fuaga @#10, #11 or #14 would still make me happy. CB or Edge @10, 11 or 14 would work, too.

I've noticed that a lot of the experts have started mocking Joe Alt to us @#5.

I do think that Ariz will take him at #4 BUT you never know. SO let's say something happens and MHJ is there. Do you trade down or take him?
I really want to trade down and get draft capital but this scenario would be my most difficult choice. What do we do?
1) take MHJ
2) take BB
3) Trade down a couple of picks and take either BB, Odunze or OL
4) trade form #8, then trade down again for #25.

Today Hortiz was asked about TE.

He said something along the lines of they are mostly free agents, but we will look for TEs with different skills than the ones we have.

That can mean an Inline blocking TE, or it can point towards BB @ #5.

Spin the roulette wheel to find out.

And another Hortiz bread crumb was that we do have people currently that can snap the ball, always a plus.

Daggumit, March 13 is marked on my calendar...c'mon Joe give us a clue.

You listen to offers, and take MHJ if no offer measures up.

If I'm the GM, I'm totally open to trading down MORE than once, but only for the right offers.

Imagine trading down from #5 to #10, and then again, down to #20, where JPJ is selected. Those trade downs should net at least three Day 2 picks.

Yes. He might even be in play @ #5 when all is said and done. Hortiz will see what trade down offers happen.

After moves such as MW released, Mack traded, Kendricks released, and FAs Ekeler, Kelly, Mike Davis, Murray, Everett, not brought back i would add WR in there but it isnt as big a need. Id slot it in there in the middle somehwhere and draft players as seen fit by who is on the board at those times.
