Other tight ends, in no particular order, in this draft:

      1. Cade Stover: 6-4, 250-255 pounds.
      2. Ben Sinnott: 6-4, 247 pounds
      3. Erick All: 6-5, 250 pounds.
      4. Ja'Tavion Sanders: 6-3 or 6-4, 243 or 252 pounds (it depends on which site you look at.
      5. Theo Johnson: 6-6, 257 pounds.
      6. A.J Barner: 6-5, 251 pounds.

No he doesnt look the part of your typical 260 lb in line TE, But that is not what he is.

Kittle moves like a WR, Bowers does too.

The Chargers have a legacy with TEs. Winslow and Gates - has any other team in NFL history had two HOF tight ends like this? When they drafted Henry I thought he would continue the legacy, pick up where Gates left off. HH scored 8 TDs as a rookie and made some clutch plays. Injuries derailed him in his later Chargers' tenure, he didn't quite become the new Gates, but he was good with Herbert in JH's first season and I was sorry to see him go to the Patriots. Maybe HH is a solution at TE if they don't draft Bowers.

Yes Henry was gonna be what Bowers is and you saw it happening with Herbert when he had a competent tight end. We couldn’t afford Henry but he put up numbers with shit Mack jones. When there’s a good tight end on the board we take him.

We'll see soon enough. I don't care if he is 6'3". ..doesn't sway me.
6'3" is barely the threshhold for me at #5 ... barely.

                6'2" - forget it.

Does that prove we don't need great players? We've had a bunch. Still no trophy.

I'm not drafting Bowers as a prototypical TE because he is not a prototypical TE. I'm drafting him as a weapon that will mostly line up in the TE spot but can line him up almost anywhere. This would give the offense different looks and confuse defenses. If I want a prototypical TE I would draft one in the later rnds or sign one in FA which is what I think the Chargers will do anyway.

If you think that is to high to draft him because he's not a prototypical TE then I can understand that. I don't agree with it but totally understand why someone would have that opinion.
                      Understood.

We had lots of years with no real TE threat, you make it seem like we were stacking the Lombardi's the years without TE's.
