Now if Fanin drops to 55 because these teams are taking Taylor and Arroyo, I’d take Fanin at 55. Fanin has the tape and gives great effort in blocking.
Injuries slowed down his career no doubt, he basically red shirted a couple of years. But the first year he was healthy we saw what he can do.

While I understand that production at the college level counts for something, NFL teams love traits and there is a reason for that. Drafting is not about the past, its about projecting what these young men can become in NFL systems with NFL coaching.

I keep reading these examples brought up on here about "traits" guys that didnt pan out but the same posters dont bother to mention guys with impressive college careers that bust in the NFL.

He has one highlight tape. Only one game tape and that one is the game highlights, not every play. I'm just not buying the hype is all. I need to see more than a highlight tape.

If that's good enough for you, great but It don't tell the whole story. Id love to see more tape but it isn't out there as of yet.
I like him but I'm not drafting him in round 1 at 22 is all I'm saying. It may be a round 1 weak draft but there will still be better players at 22 than him. Just like I'm not drafting Zabel there either.

And the senior bowl doesn't compare to the NFL. It's got some good to decent players but not all will even be drafted. It's a bowl game for the seniors to show themselves but because of lack of talent or able to get enough senior players in the game they recently have let underclassman play in it.

Arroyo did hit 21.8 mph on a 74 yard TD this year. Thats pretty bloody fast for anyone let alone a TE
Been watching the draft a long time and I watch games and seen many projections that don't come to pass is all.
He don't look Bowers fast to me but we'll see. Still isn't a first rounder imo.

So using this calculator for mph, id say those they use for games have some flaws.

How do you explain this using Xavier Worthys 40 time of 4.21.

Maybe we should have them run a 60 yard dash

Fair enough, all good. I am not drafting him at 22 either. I would at 55 though. Zabel is a good similar example.

I am a little biased being a Miami Hurricane fan for many years. I watch them whenever they are televised so I saw a few games of Arroyo this year. He caught my eye before the hype because he is a game breaker at the position. Truth be told I would have preferred he didnt get hyped and noticed so much at the Senior Bowl. I was hoping he would be more under the radar and could be had in the mid rounds. if he has a good combine which I expect he will, I dont see him being there at 55.

A lot of the players i like in this draft feel like they will go between 22 and 55. Thats why it would be nice if Loveland was there at 22 and Chargers just snapped him up, get TE taken care of finally.

I just want the Chargers make good decisions like last year.
Alt and McKonkey in 1st and 2nd is hard to beat.
Complete that with Loveland or Hampton at 22
And K. Johnson or E. Arroyo at 55.
Go defense after that and find IOL in FA.
              Superbowl here we come !

The Arroyo Macchiato has gotten ridiculously frothy at the TPB cafe over the last several days imo. Dude went from maybe early Day3 pick to maybe he's similar to some of the other TEs and could move up to latter Day 2 to hey who knows maybe Rd2 and now he's the greatest TE in the history of sport and guys are climbing over each other to carve a #22 statue for him.

35 REC for 590, 7 TDs and folks are tussling and arm wrestling to be first in line to burn their lips up in here on their piping hot frothy arroyomacchiato. its an incredible thing to watch.

I'll invite Fannin and Taylor to my party if the cool kids rejected them already.

                    That's what hype does.

Even Ryan Leaf has a NFL highlight tape . Somebody might watch that 2:30-3:00 minute tape and say,..... How was he a bust? 😆

the answer: acceleration. You cannot use avg speed with 40 times.
