The only way that anyone on any message board would remember such a thing, is if they dreamed it or they accepted bullshit as fact without actually researching it. Because there wasn't more than the torn labrum, that he was drafted with.

Here we are building a compelling case
for the durability of Jason Verrett.

Mebane and Liuget both gave us quality snaps,
          just not enough of them.

Not quite. He's brittle as egg shells, but he didn't have a laundry list of injuries coming out of TCU.

Up until the time that Jason Verrett injured his labrum, he played in a lot of games, three years running.

With the way he is built,
lack of durability as a pro prospect
              was very predictable.

              That's the story.

I find that to be a silly notion that often gets parroted as well. Name one of his injuries that was due to him being undersized.

King sized labrum would have served him well.

Or a stronger one. If it's all about size, why would isn't Benjamin constantly on the IR?

It was posted in here from some site. It's been like 3 years and I'll never find it. Some were upset TT drafted him after having a history of injuries in college and they showed them. That's all I can say about it.
I'm not good at digging those things up. That's OIP's specialty. He finds everything.

Durability can be an issue independent of size.

The issue with Verrett is probability...Roby was on the draft board when TT took Verrett.

Found it! Can't believe it but I did lol.

Here is the info posted on his college injuries.....believe it or not. It's from NFL.com

So yeah I was wrong on the torn patella and he played thru some injuries but injured none the less.
Here is the posted link I found it from.
                          http://www.thepowderblues.com/forum/...038#post242038

If you read the posts on that link, Ebenezer commenting is Kemp from the CBM and he was a big Verrett fan so he defends him a lot. But in the end, as we know, he was injured all the time.

This was posted by Engine 420 before the draft:

All quotes below are from NFL.com.

                          Jason Verrett, Chargers CB
2010 - "Missing three contests with a hamstring injury."
2012 - "Had arthroscopic surgery on his left knee during '12 spring practice."
2012 - "Suffered a torn meniscus in his right knee against Texas but played in final two games before having surgery in January '13."
2013 - "Played most of the season with a torn labrum originally injured in the third game against Texas Tech and re-injured in November."
2014 - "Had the shoulder surgically repaired in March."
