It's the classic BPA vs PON argument. I see plenty, just like you Sir. The question is talent level. How much of a reach should we make. I am seeing big boards all over the map. Plus, I have my own big board.

No way? My first legit board i think was a Pineapple. In fact i sort of modeled my avatar off an old sims board that i remembered. It was Pink and white. Might not have been Sims. I want to say it was a Bender? I used to be good fiends with a pool skater named Dave Hackett.

Small world man. I was never any good. But have been surrounded by skaters all my life. My daughter goes to a small private college prep school in Encinitas. Her posse includes Dannys son and Tonys son. They are not avid skaters but its fun to have them in my house having grown up with that skater scene earlier in my life. Hackett gave my son pool lessons at the YMCA in Encinitas. Great guy. Great story considering how much he has gone through.

I love those Powell boards growing up. Sims as well. But i wish i had that original Pineapple. I think i cut my teeth on Veriflex boards. Stone wheels.

Most of the boards i made were really big street luge type stuff. I grew up in Point Loma so the hills around my house were epic to bomb. Scream down Gage...make that sharp right turn onto Talbot...dodging cars.....and flying right into the SDYC entrance. lol We were scary kids.

I lost my fabricating interest when i had a bunch of metal splinters get into my eyes from sanding down trucks. I had to wear eye patches for a week. Blind for a week. Minor eye surgery. Sucked.

Thats interesting...neither Bush drops, but I could definitely see Wilson at 28...if he is one of the BPAs, I tend to agree. Make the pick. But if there is a good DT, S, or Tackle there...gotta pass.

I think we are expected to be set at Weak. With Brown and White. If we bring back Phillips he also plays that spot. Addae has played some. I think WILL is covered.

And with Perryman signing on for 2 years i think it makes sense to support him a with player in the mid rounds. A 2 down type. You dont need to use a 1st rounder on one necessarily. Because i think White or Brown can also play MLB in sub packages. With Perryman signed the need to force MLB in round 1 is sort of removed. Not that i was dead set on one because its not a loaded draft there. Lamar and Coney are other guys in the 2-3 range.

Could use depth at SAM as well. One of the reasons i like Takitaki is that he's one player that can cover all 3 spots. I think he is best in the middle or weak but is versatile enough to play all the spots. If i were to compare him to a non BYU player i would probably look at Duke Riley of the Falcons. Was playing SAM but moved to the middle when Jones went down. But hes bigger. Similar game. High motor. I think Taki was more football sound coming out.

Guys like that have so much value. Especially on our team.
